Today I'm going to share a brand I'm really excited about. The brand is called treStique and they are all about simple and quick beauty. I heard about the brand years ago when I got a mini shadow stick of theirs in my Ipsy Glam Bag. I remember really liking the product and even including it in one of my monthly favorites. Flash forward to 2020 I was re-introduced to treStique and I looked into it some more. I was very intrigued by the whole idea of "simple quick beauty". I have never been able to do my makeup quickly but with COVID and wearing less makeup in general, I really liked the idea of this. Their products are meant to be quick and easy for the mom or woman on the go or for someone that just doesn't want to spend a lot of time doing their makeup. treStique products are about convenience and are meant to enhance your natural beauty. Review: ColourPop Matte Lux Lipsticks in Third Eye, Little League, and Money Moves

Today I'm going to share my thoughts on three of the new ColourPop Matte Lux Lipsticks. I really loved the formula of their Creme Lux Lipsticks (review HERE) so I decided to pick up a few of the new formula to test out. Review: ColourPop Lux Lipsticks

Today I'm going to share my thoughts on a few of the new ColourPop Lux Lipsticks. I love liquid lipsticks so much but when I saw how pretty these were I had to pick some up and try the new formula! Keep reading to hear my thoughts!

Review: Nyx Luv Out Loud Liquid Lipsticks*

Essence Makeup Lip Favorites*

For those of you that follow me on Instagram and Snapchat you might have seen that Essence Makeup sent me a ton of products to try out. I've been testing them out for about a month and wanted to share my favorite products from the bunch. Since I have a lot that I feel are worth sharing, I decided to break them up in categories. This post will discuss my favorite lip products that I have been testing out. Keep reading to hear about the products and see swatches!

In this post I will be talking about three different types of Essence lipsticks. Their new Matt Matt Matt Lipsticks, Long Lasting Lipsticks, and Nude Long Lasting Lipsticks. I don't have the full line but have a few from each collection. 

Although a low priced line, their little details such as their stamped logo on their lipsticks make them feel luxurious.

Reivew: ColourPop Matte X Lippie Stix Haul

Today I am going to finally share my thoughts on the new ColourPop Matte X formula. I purchased these lippie stix a few months ago but haven't had a chance to review them. Reivew: ColourPop Holiday Haul

Hey Guys,

Today I am going to share some ColourPop lippies that I got as a Christmas present from my good friend El (from The Beauty Isle). I have wanted some new lipsticks for a while and was so excited to try out some of ColourPop's newer colors.

ColourPop Lippie Stix and Pencil in Grunge $5.00 

Grunge is a cool toned plum brown with a matte finish. It is such a gorgeous color. It looks great paired with simple eye makeup. It doesn't took too brown either.

ColourPop Lippie Stix in Lady $5.00

Lady is a cool toned dirty burgundy with a matte finish. I think it pulls a little more brown ish on me but you can definitely see the burgundy in it. I thought this would be my favorite color but I actually like Grunge a little more.

ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip in Bumble $6.00

Bumble is a dusty warm terracotta. I have wanted this color for quite a while now. It is such a gorgeous everyday color for me. I think it looks great with my skintone as well. This was surprisingly drying on me. I didn't think any of the other Ultra Matte liquid lipsticks were super drying which is weird. You definitely need to apply lip balm before using this. Maybe my lips have just been dryer than normal which is why I felt that this was so drying. Regardless, I love the color.

ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip in StingRAYE $6.00

StingRaye is a cool toned mauve brown. This really is a pretty color. The tube makes the color look lighter and pinker than it actually is. It definitely is more brown with a mauve tint to it. I didn't find this as drying as bumble. The wear time was about the same as the rest of the ColourPop liquid lipsticks. All stay on me for about 5 hours. They need a little bit of touch up after eating.

Overall, I was really happy with the colors that El got for me. They are all wearable colors for me personally, I really love ColourPop lip products in general. They are amazing and so affordable! I really want to pick up the new Taurus and Aquarius colors from the new Kathleen Lights collection.

Review: Bite Beauty Best Bite Rewind

Today I am going to share my thoughts on the Bite Beauty Best Bite Rewind set! For those of you that follow my blog, you know I am a big fan of Bite Beauty. They have come out with a $25.00 lip set around the holidays for the past few years. I originally fell in love with the brand when I got their High Pigment Pencil set for Christmas a few years ago. Bite Beauty has amazing lip product by they are by no means inexpensive. One fill sized lip product runs for around $24.00. That is why these lip kits and their holiday minis are a great value. Keep reading to hear my thoughts on the kit that I picked up!

Bite Beauty Best Bite Rewind $25.00 at Sephora  (currently sold out)

This kit comes with 4 deluxe sized minis of their Matte Creme Lip Crayons.

They come in a cute little tin that has a decent sized mirror on the inside.

Torte

Torte is a brown toned rose.

This is my favorite color. I feel it is the most every day color of the bunch.

Cafe

According to the Sephora site, Cafe is a peachy brown nude.

It looks more like a nude pink on me and is too light for my liking.

Coulis

Coulis is a raspberry red. I feel it definitely has a pink undertone to it.

I really love this color and think it is great for the holidays or if you want a pop of color.

Aubergine

Aubergine is an eggplant color.

 
This color reminds me alot of Mac Rebel and Nyx Butter Lipstick in Hunk. I might just be slightly more pink.

Overall, I think this is a great set an an awesome value. I can't say enough good things about Bite Beauty lip products. All colors are creamy, extremely pigmented, and apply beautifully. These have a sweet tart like scent to them which makes me love them even  more. Even though Cafe didn't work out for me, it may work out for other people. I am still glad that I bought this set. The set comes with a great range of colors and I think will work for most  if not all skin tones. The only negative thing about these lip crayons is that I don't consider them true matte lipsticks. As you can see from the pictures they have a shine to them. Either way, it is great set.

Since the set is currently sold out, I suggest that you snag any of their Bite Mix and Mingle double sided mini lipsticks! They go for $14.00 and those don't disappoint either! You can check them out HERE !

Review: ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip

I got a bunch of ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip liquid lipsticks a while ago and am just getting around reviewing them. I went crazy trying to order these things the day that they were released. The site crashed and finally I was able to place my order around 1 a.m.! These liquid lipstick come in a bunch of colors from neutral, to bright pinks, to dark reds. There have been mixed reviews of these lipsticks. Some people love them while others hate them. Keep reading to hear my thoughts!

ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip $6.00

Here are the colors that I chose:

Tulle

Tulle is a dusty mauve burgundy. This will be a great color for the fall.

Lychee

Lychee is a bright warm violet. I really love this color. Its such a fun and summery color. 

Trap

Trap is a dusty greyed out beige. I was hoping to like this more. Its just not my favorite on me.

Solow

Solow is a neutral nude pink. I have worn this color the most as its the most wearable of the bunch that I picked out.

Seesaw

Seesaw is a pastel lavender pink. It just doesn't look right on me. It was also the hardest to apply.

Drive-In

Drive-In is a mid toned bright magenta. Its my favorite of the bunch! I think this color is so gorgeous. 

Midi

Midi is a soft neutral beige. It is FAR too light on me. All I did was put it on my lips once to know that I won't be wearing this one again.

Overall, I am really pleased with these lipsticks. YES you do need to apply a lip balm underneath them as they are drying. When I apply a lip balm they are much less drying. All of the liquid lipsticks are extremely pigmented. The formula is more on the watery side but the only color I had an issue with apply was Seesaw. For darker or brighter colors I suggest using a lip liner first. Wear time is 5-6 hours. I notice a little wearing towards the middle of my lips when I eat and drink. All I needed was a little touch up in the middle and I was good to go. I have talked to people that hated these liquid lipsticks however I like them. For $6.00, I think they are great. Just make sure you do the research on the colors. I found that the lighter colors are not my favorites. I like the brighter and darker colors better. I already have a few more that I want to pick up. The next colors on my list are Bumble and Clueless. Because these have recieved so many mixed reviews I suggest that you pick up a couple and try them out yourself to decide how you like them.
