Review: OGX Beauty Quenching Coconut Curls*

OGX Beauty has sent me a bunch of products lately to try out. I have been trying them out for a few months now and wanted to share my thoughts on the Quenching Coconut Curls Product line.

OGX Quenching Coconut Curls Shampoo and Conditioner $7.99

Here is what is said about this product on the Ulta site:
"OGX Quenching Coconut Curls Shampoo Lavishes your curls with a rich blend of nourishing coconut oil to enhance the natural softness, while sweet honey boosts decadent spirals and a twist of citrus oils tames frizz for beautiful tumbling waves with bounce and shine. This rejuvenating blend of luxurious coconut and citrus oils combined with sweet honey to defrizz, hydrate and bring out your best curl days every day."

This is a really nice shampoo and conditioner. It is on the heavier side but it doesn't weight down my hair. I don't have curly hair so I can't comment on if it works well with curly hair. I do like the coconut scent of this but wish it was a stronger scent. This does a good job at making my hair feel clean. I use this when I am going to wear my hair curly or scrunched and I do think it helps contain frizziness.

OGX Quenching Coconut Curls Moisture Mousse $7.99

Here is what is said about this product on the Ulta site:

"Drench your curls with OGX Quenching + Coconut Curls Frizz Defying Moisture Mousse! This creamy mousse-blend with coconut oil, sweet honey and a twist of citrus oil helps to enhance natural softness, boost decadent spirals, and tame frizz for beautiful tumbling waves with bounce and shine."

This is a really good curling mousse! I use mousse and hair spray when I wear my hair scrunched. I normally use a curling serum then add mousse and a little hairspray to my hair. Next I scrunch it a few times and put it in a messy bun on the top of my head. After I am finished with my makeup I take my hair down and blow dry with a diffuser. Lastly, I add more hair spray or sea salt spray. This curling mousse does a great job at adding body to my hair. It doesn't make my hair crunchy or stiff. I have been using this at least once a week.

When I first tried this curling butter, I used as a deep conditioner. I left it in for a few minutes then rinsed it out. I don't know if I used too much or if this is meant for people with thicker curlier hair, but it didn't completely wash out and my hair felt greasy. This product was kind of a miss for me but I am going to give it another try.
