Review: Violet Voss x Laura Lee Palette

Hey Guys,
I am finally getting around to sharing my thoughts on the Violet Voss x Laura Lee Palette. I'm not super familiar with Laura Lee but I know shes a popular YouTube beauty Guru. I have heard of Violet Voss and have seen their products but I've never tried them before. After having a bunch of bad luck with the Becca palettes, I decided to get this palette. I saw a ton of positive reviews and I really liked the colors. Keep reading to hear my thoughts on this palette and to see some looks that I created!

This palette comes with 20 shadows including 10 mattes and 10 shimmers. It also comes with a large mirror on the inside which comes in handy and makes it a good palette to travel with. It is currently out of stock and I am not sure if they plant to restock it in the future.

The palette is mostly neutral warm browns however there are also some unique shades. Bitty is a burnt red/orange, 1988 is a reddish/pink, Rammer Jammer is a magenta/pink, Smashlee is a teal, and Yoshi is a duo chrome that looks taupe/green.

On to my thoughts:
I really like this palette! I like that it is mostly a neutral palette but has some unique colors mixed in. I have found that I am using a majority of the colors in this palette and not just a few. In terms of quality, these shadows are beautiful and pigmented but not as soft as Morphe Shadows. I prefer my Morphe Palettes over this but I still like this palette a lot and don't regret purchasing it. These shadows blend nicely but you do need to go over the colors to build them up. After swatching them for the pictures, I have noticed they are much more pigmented using your fingers. For the shimmers, I am going to apply them with my fingers next time instead of a brush. They last pretty much all day with minimal creasing. I do have to touch up my makeup at the end of the work day if I plan to go out that night. I have been really happy with the looks that I have created and look forward to experimenting further. One negative thing is that the shipping was really expensive in my opinion. It was $8.00 and this palette was $45.00. I think it should have been free shipping considering the price of the palette on its own. I don't understand why they charged so much for shipping when it took a couple weeks to ship. Either way I still think that the palette was worth it and do recommend it.
