Review: Ipsy Glam Bag Sept 2015

Hi Guys,
Another month another Ipsy Glam Bag. I'm not really excited anymore for my glam bags but regardless, I still feel the need to review them. For those of you unfamiliar with  Ipsy, it is a monthly beauty subscription service. For $10.00 a month, you get 4-5 deluxe to full size beauty products. To learn more you can check out my previous Ipsy reviews on my Subscription Reviews tab at the top of my blog. The theme for this month was "Face Fashion" keeping in line with New York Fashion week which is in September. I actually liked the bag for once. Its pretty plain and will match with any black or cognac leather bag that I have.

Overall, this bag was more exciting before actually trying out the products. I'm pretty sure I am cancelling my subscription after next month. I just subscribed to Sephora Play! and I just find that I never use the products that I get in my glam bags. Hopefully Ipsy starts to feature better brands and products because I feel like the Sephora subscription will be a tough competitor.

Review: Proganix Quench*

Hey Guys,
Today I'm going to share my thoughts on some products from the new Proganix line of hair care. For those of you unfamiliar with Proganix, it is the sister brand of OGX (Organix). Proganix products are created with the best ingredients of nature and science combined.
Proganix Quench
The product line that I was sent to test out was the Quench line. Proganix Quench products are all about replenishing, hydrating and nurturing dry damaged hair. Quench products are made with coconut water, coconut oil, and electrolytes.
Proganix Quench

Proganix Quench
This product helps replenish and moisture your hair while you sleep. Put a small amount of this in your wet or dry hair at night and style as desired in the morning. This is said to make your hair soft and silky.

Proganix Quench
This moisture mist it supposed to protect your hair while you swim in a pool or at the beach. You spray it beforehand and the product protects your hair from harsh chemicals. I actually having been spraying this in my towel dried hair after showering at night and it leaves my hair feeling super soft the next day.

Proganix Quench
This shampoo and conditioner is supposed to hydrate and nourish dry hair. The conditioner is also supposed to mend split ends.

On to my thoughts:
First of all, these products smell absolutely amazing! If you are a fan of coconut or island type scents, you will love the scent of these products. I love the ingredients in this line. Coconut oil is supposed to be really good for your hair. I really liked all of the products from this line. My favorite product was the Leave In Moisture and Nourish Mist. Even though I don't use it exactly the way it is said to, it still makes my hair feel super soft and silky the next day. I highly recommend this line and will definitely will be purchasing it once I run out of these products.

Have you tried the Proganix Quench line? What product are you most interested in? Post your comments below!

Review: Stitch Fix #12

Hey Guys,
It's been quite a while since I got a fix from Stitch Fix. I finally decided to get one so that I could transition my wardrobe into fall appropriate attire. For those of you unfamiliar with Stitch Fix, it is a personal styling subscription service. You can learn more about Stitch Fix and see my previous fixes on my Subscription Reviews pageBelow is my 12th fix.

Check out the items that I recieved:
Stitch Fix #12
 $44.00
 Stitch Fix #12
This was the only longer sleeved top that I got. I didn't really like it. It didn't do much for my shape and I wasn't crazy about the detailing on the pocket.

 Stitch Fix #12
$48.00
 Stitch Fix #12
I really loved this top and thought it fit me very well. I also liked the colors. It was pretty expensive for a short sleeved shirt. I also wasn't looking to add any more short sleeve tops into my wardrobe at this time.

 Stitch Fix #12
 $48.00
 Stitch Fix #12
I really liked these leggings and the ankle zip detail. However, these were too expensive in my opinion.

 Stitch Fix #12
 $48.00
 Stitch Fix #12
This skirt was really cute and I liked the print. I just wasn't looking to add a skirt into my wardrobe at this time.

 Stitch Fix #12
$44.00
 Stitch Fix #12
 Stitch Fix #12
I liked this top however, it didn't flatter me once I tried it on.

Overall, this fix was a miss for me. I was looking for season appropriate items. I would have liked 3/4 length. long sleeved shirts, or layering items. I sent all of these items back and spoke to my stylist. She agreed to credit me the $20.00 styling fee and is going to be sending me a new fix with items more geared to what I was looking for.

Review: NKD SKN* Self Tan Products

Hey Guys,
Today I am going to introduce you to some products by NKD SKN and share my thoughts on them. I recieved this products to try out back at the beginning of the summer but am just getting around to reviewing them. I wanted to make sure that my tan was completely gone before trying the self tanner out. For those of you unfamiliar with NKD SKN, it the newest collection of self tan products from Vita Liberata. All of their self tan products are odorless and made with natural ingredients. Vita Liberata is based in Ireland but their products are available at Ulta, Walgreens, and Target!

NKD SKN* Self Tan Products

Here is what is said about this product on the NKD SKN site:
"This gorgeous daily moisturiser with a hint of a tan will give you stunning, soft, smooth and sun kissed NKD SKN. A subtle glow develops over 4 – 8 hours and can be deepened daily. With zero smell, zero transfer onto clothes and organic extracts that hydrate skin for the ultimate natural glow. Designed for all skin tones.
Amazing Extracts
Aloe Vera – Conditions and fights ageing
Shea Butter – Healing and conditioning
Lychee – Revitalises skin with Vitamin C"
NKD SKN* Self Tan Products

NKD SKN* Self Tan Products
This reminded me of the Jergens Natural Glow moisturizer but better! I have used the Jergens one in the past. The color took several uses to show up and it left an orange tint to my skin. I saw results with the NKD SKN Gradual Glow Daily Tan Moisturizer right away. The color showed up the next day after the first use and it was natural looking. My skin didn't look orange. It was also very moisturizing. The only tip I would give is to use sparingly on your elbows and hands because they will develop an orange tint if you use too much or don't wash your hands good enough.

NKD SKN* Self Tan Products
Here is what is said about this product on the NKD SKN site:
"Love the beach babe look? Get it in seconds with this dark tinted tan liquid that dries in an instant for the ultimate beach look. Natural extracts will give you super soft skin for a totally flawless finish. Instant bronzing for easy application and a deep, dark, odourless ‘holiday tan’ that guarantees gorgeous NKD SKN and fades without patching. Lasts up to 7 days."

NKD SKN* Self Tan Products
This tinted tan liquid was a brown color and applied evenly. The mitt helped create a more even application without getting it all over my hands. I also applied the self tanner to my face. I kept the self tanner on for 5 hours. It didn't have any particular scent and wasn't sticky at all. I probably could have slept with it on but I decided to shower before bed. Overall, I was hoping that I would see more dramatic results. I was only slightly tanner after using the product. I already had a little color left over from my summer tan. I am going to try this self tanner again once I am back to my normal coloring. Maybe the results will me more dramatic.

Here is a before and after using the NKD SKN Tinted Tan Liquid:

The left picture is before NKD SKN and the right picture is after.

I was really happy that I was given the opportunity to try out these products. I really liked the daily moisturizer and am going to give the tinted tan liquid another chance.

Review: Wantable Accessories Collection August 2015

Hi Guys,
Another month has passed which means another Wantable Accessories Collection! I am loving this service so much and get so excited to see what I am getting each month. Even though this service is more than my other monthly subscriptions like Ipsy, I do feel like it is worth the price.

For those of you unfamiliar with Wantable, it is a personal styling service that you can sign up for monthly (or whenever you would like). It is $40 for your first box and $36.00 every month after that. You get 4-5 products that are tailored to your beauty profile that you fill out when signing up. If you are not happy with your collection, you can send the whole box back and get a refund. They have 3 different type collections; an Accessories Collection, a Makeup Collection, and an Intimates Collection. They recently just added two more subscriptions that are a little different. The Style Edit and the Fitness Edit. These boxes are a little bit more pricey. You pay a $20 styling fee and they send you 5 hand picked items that you can choose to purchase or send back.

Here is what I got in my August Accessories Collection:
Wantable Accessories Collection August 2015

Livie Hoops Silver $16.00
Wantable Accessories Collection August 2015
This hoops are very simple however I usually wear more simple hoops on a regular basis. I usually pair them with more fancy statement necklaces. I will definitely wear these often. I like the little textured detail on them.

Andie Necklace S $28.00
Wantable Accessories Collection August 2015
This statement necklace is so pretty. I like that it is tan and white as it will go with many things. I'm not a fan of gunmetal color of the chain part however, I guess that's not a huge deal.

Giada Earrings $16.00
Wantable Accessories Collection August 2015
These statement earrings are so pretty! They sit a little weird on my ears but that has to do with the way my ears were pierced. These will look really good paired with a simple v neck shirts and a pair of jeans. I would probably go with a blacks shirt.

Elena Necklace $18.00
Wantable Accessories Collection August 2015
I really loved this piece alot. Its so simple but will go with so much. I think I will get alot of use out of this necklace.

Total Collection Value $78.00

Wantable Accessories Collection August 2015
Overall, I was very pleased with the items in my August collection. My favorite piece is the Elena necklace, Its so versatile and can be worn with so many different style outfits.

Review: Ulta Best of Becca Kit

Hey Guys,
Today I wanted to share my thoughts on the Best of Becca set from Ulta! It was $34.50 and such a great value. I have wanted to try Becca products for quite a while so I was so excited to see this set! Becca products are pretty expensive so it was awesome to be able to try a bunch of deluxe samples of them.
Best of Becca Kit
This set was $34.50 but I haven't seen it online or in stores anymore. Ulta just released a similar Becca set which you can check out HERE.

Here is what came in the kit:
Best of Becca Kit

Best of Becca Kit
soft gold infused w/ rose tones
Best of Becca Kit
Here is what is said about this product on the Ulta site:
"Find refined luminosity in any light - this formula features ultra-fine luminescent pearls that absorb, reflect, and refract light so your natural radiance is never lost. Unlike the traditional pressed powder method which simply mixes and compresses dry ingredients, this unique process blends pigments with proprietary liquid binders, resulting in unparalleled, creamy application with balanced color dispersion. Like a compact full of crushed gemstones, the multi-toned, ultra-fine pigment pearls adjust to skin's natural undertones for a truly unique glow."
http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod10921068

I really love this highlighter. Its such a pretty unique color and gives just enough highlight without being too much. I was so upset when this broke! The whole entire highlighter came out of the pan and crumbled. I didn't even drop it or anything. I'm going to try to fix it. Hopefully it works.

Becca Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle in Watermelon/Moonstone

Best of Becca Kit
coral red infused with pale gold
Here is what is said about this product on the Ulta site:
"Water-resistant and oil-free, each pot combines BECCA's top-selling Beach Tint with a Shimmering Skin Perfector for effortlessly buildable colour with a splash of radiance.

An innovative air-whipped gel-to-powder that provides a wash of luminescent colour for the cheeks. Infused with skin-soothing, redness-reducing brown algae, this formula hydrates and revives dull skin for a youthful glow. Water-resistant and oil, paraben and talc-free.

Whipped to perfection: Each soufflé begins by pulverizing Beach Tint and Shimmering Skin Perfector pigments and pearls into an ultra-fine powder. The powder is then combined with a proprietary blend of liquids and whipped into a perfectly delicate soufflé." http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod10921044#

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal
Best of Becca Kit
golden opal pearl
Here is what is said about this product on the Ulta site:
"Achieve a subtle luminosity. This formula features ultrafine light-reflecting pearls that melt into your skin for polished, natural-looking radiance. Water-light and sheer, it has a prismatic effect that allows it to adjust in any light, so your refined glow is never lost."

This is a pretty highlight and I love the opal color but I prefer the pressed highlighter over the cream one. I feel like the powder is easier to apply.

Becca Beach Tint in Guava
Best of Becca Kit
bright coral pink

Here is what is said about this product on the Ulta Site:
"Apply a beautiful flush and a pretty pout with this blendable two-in-one formula for lips and cheeks. The oil-free, streak-free stain is enriched with antioxidant vitamin E to repair and soothe skin and the water-resistant formula stays put with a subtle, fruity scent."
http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod10921046

Here are swatches of each product:
Ulta Best of Becca Kit

L-R: Opal, Guava, Watermelon/Moonstone, Rose Gold

Overall, this was a great kit to try out a bunch of Becca products. I wish that they had more kits like this from all the different beauty brands. If I can't fix the Rose Gold pressed highlighter I will probably buy the full sized product. I recently picked up the Opal pressed highlighter and like it but I prefer the Rose Gold one!
