Review: Jaclyn Cosmetics Accent Light Duo Highlighter Palette & Brush Set

Hey Guys,
Today I am going to share my thoughts on some pieces from the new Jaclyn Cosmetics Holiday Collection. After Jaclyn's first product launch was a disaster she credited ALL customers full refunds on their orders. I picked up 6 lipsticks and didn't request or expect a refund. I spent around $100.00 on the lipsticks so I knew I wanted to support her next launch after being refunded. (You can check out my review of her lipsticks HERE). I was surprised and excited when she announced the launch of her Holiday Collection. Even though I was hoping it would be an eyeshadow palette I still planned to support her. Jaclyn launched 2 highlighter palettes, 5 loose highlights, 5 luminous powders, and 3 face brushes. I decided to picked up the Accent Light Duo Highlighter Palette and Brush Set. Keep reading to learn about the products and to hear my thoughts on each!
Review: Jaclyn Cosmetics Accent Light Duo Highlighter Palette & Brush Set
The Accent Light Highligher Palette came in two shade ranges suitable for different skin tones; The Flash Palette (fair to medium skin tones) and the Flare Palette (medium/tan to deep tones). The Flash Palette includes 4 shades that will all work with fair to medium skintones and The Flare Palette includes 4 shades that will work better for medium/tan to deeper skintones.

Review: FabFitFun Winter Box 2019
Hey Guys,
Today I'm going to share my Winter FabFitFun Box! For those of you unfamiliar with FabFitFun it is a quarterly subscription that you get every season. The box is filled with beauty, fashion, home, and lifestyle items and the fun part is you are able to pick some of the items! There are a handful of items that everyone gets then there are 3 items regular quarterly subscribers are able to pick (you usually have 2-5 choices to pick from). If you purchase a year in advance you are able to pick 5 items in your box. You also have the option to add on additional products. I really like the variety this box offers.  For this box, I decided to bite the bullet and purchase the yearly subscription. That way I am able to pick more items in my box. Hey Guys,
Today I'm going to share another outfit of the day! I took this in the beginning of November but wanted to space my fashion posts out a bit. Also, now that we have quite the winter wonderland outside, this outfit featuring a furry vest is more fitting! I was actually sweating the day I filmed this look because it was rather warm outside. lol Anyways, I have linked all the items that I am wearing below (or something similar if I can't find it). I don't tend to do outfit posts in the winter because I'm a baby and you won't catch me out in 30 degree weather freezing my butt off. However, If I am able to think of some good indoor backgrounds or you really don't care about that and just wanna see styled posts just let me know below!

Review: Erno Laszlo Antioxidant Complex for Eyes, Pore Refining Detox Double Cleanse, and White Marble Dual Phase Vitamin C Peel

*PR Samples. I was gifted these items to test out by the brand. However, the thoughts and opinions in this post are my own. I am always 100% honest in my reviews for all products discussed on my blog. Thank you for supporting Leopard Lace and Cheesecake!

Hey Guys,
Today I'm going to share my thoughts on some Erno Laszlo products that were gifted to me a couple of months ago. For those of you unfamiliar with the brand, Dr. Erno Laszlo was a skincare expert that created formulas and prescriptions for different skincare concerns. He prescribed ritual skincare routines for his clients and introduced cleansing oils and bars as the double cleanse that we know today. He opened his first institute in Budapest in 1927. He then moved to New York opening his first institute there in 1939. Some of his most famous clients included Hollywood's Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, and Greta Garbo as well as America's First Lady Jackie Onassis. The Erno Laszlo brand continues to carry on his legacy into today. Keep reading to hear about the products that I picked up!

Ulta Beauty Holiday Gift Guide for Beauty Lovers

Hey Guys,
I decided to create a Holiday Gift Guide for Beauty Lovers since I've seen so many great gifts out there. I decided to base this guide off of products from Ulta Beauty. The reason for that is 1. they offer both drug store/affordable and high end brands/products, 2. Their rewards system kicks ass! and 3. they offer a little more variety of products in their stores. I have decided to create separate price sections since every has their own personal budget for holiday shopping. I also separated by type: makeup, skincare, and hair/body care. Below you will find a $25 and under, a $50 and under, and an under $100. Below you can find everything cute stocking stuffer ideas, things you can split up and give to a few different people, as well as vault collections. I gave ALOT of different options in each category so this is very picture heavy. Keep reading to see the great items available this holiday season!

Amazon Fashion Finds

Amazon Fashion Finds
Hey Guys,
Amazon has become a retailer that I turn to for almost every shopping need. Something that I primarily used for purchasing books and Ebooks for my Kindle has become a place I search first for home decor, furniture, fashion, and even pet food. Their prices are unbeatable (in most cases) and the fact that I can get these items delivered to my door in 2 days with Amazon Prime is the icing on the cake. I've decided to do some blog posts on "Amazon finds". These posts will consist of  items that I have found on here and purchased for a great price/deal or something unique I haven't found elsewhere. Because I purchase so much from Amazon I will break it down into segments and I may do it quarterly or more often (we'll see). The first segment that you will be reading today is Amazon Fashion Finds. These are fashion items that I have actually purchased and recommend! Keep reading to see some of my favorites.

I tried to grab some screen shots from my InstaStory videos to show you pictures of me wearing each of the items. Going forward I will make sure to take better pics wearing the items!

Hey Guys,
Today I will be sharing the October edition of Beauty Box Throw Down. In this review I will be sharing what I got in both my BoxyCharm and my Ipsy Glam Bag Plus. Since I am signed up for BoxyLuxe I will only be doing these when I get both boxes that are comparable in price. Beauty Box Throw Down is very similar to the regular reviews that I do where I show the products, link the products, share my thoughts, and the box total value. However, the difference with this is that I will also let you guys know which box that I think is a better value. So lets jump right in!
Beauty Box Throw Down: BoxyCharm Oct 2019 vs Ipsy Glam Bag Plus Oct 2019

Hey Guys,
Today I'm going to share my thoughts on the Care II Renewal Facial Cleansing Massager. I've always wanted to try a facial massager but the more expensive brands can go for $199.00 a unit. The Care II team reached out to me about a month ago and asked me if I would like to try out their product. It's a fraction of the cost of others so I figured it would be a great opportunity to share a more affordable alternative with you! Event: IPSY Creator Night/Live & Beautifali NYC Beauty Dinner plus GIVEAWAY

Hey Guys,
Today I wanted to share some pics and my overall experience after my recent trip to New York for Ipsy Creator Night and Ipsy Live! I also attended Julia Salvia's Beauty Dinner Saturday night after Ipsy Live. This is my 3rd year attending an Ipsy Beauty Event in NYC and second year getting invited to Creator Day. This is also my 3rd year attending Julia's dinner Keep reading to hear more about the events and to see all the goodies that I picked up!
Event: IPSY Creator Night/Live & Beautifali NYC Beauty Dinner plus GIVEAWAY
Ipsy Creator Night was the first event that I attended. Creator Day normally was created for beauty influencers only. You couldn't purchase tickets to this event and had to get an invite from Ipsy Open Studios. This event allows influencers to learn/get advice from beauty brands and larger influencers by listening to panels. They consist of all different topics relating to the beauty industry, social media, and being an influencer. In the past, they have also had networking opportunities and activations set up by brands attending the event. This year was alot different than previous years. There were limited ticket spots available for purchase. It also was also open to the public meaning that non influencers could purchase these tickets. The panels seemed mandatory this year vs last year but I do understand the reasoning behind it. I did enjoy watching the panels that I saw but wish the whole thing was explained better and more organized. The panels that I watched were very informative and it was pretty cool to see LipstickNick (Director of Global Artistry for Morphe Brushes) giving her opinion on different topics. I also enjoyed listening to Jennifer Yen talk about the beauty industry and about her brands Purlisse and Yensa.
Event: IPSY Creator Night/Live & Beautifali NYC Beauty Dinner plus GIVEAWAY
In between panels we got to build our own Glam Bags. It got very hectic but was a fun idea.  The Ipsy Live preview was immediately after the Creator Day Panels and gave us the change to see Ipsy Live set up and have more intimate time to network with brands. In previous years Creator Day as a whole day thing but this year it was cut in half. It felt kind of rushed. Originally Creator Day was supposed to be 4-6pm and Live Preview 6-9pm but I guess the email sent out was wrong and the event really ended at 8. This was disappointing because had I known it ended an hour earlier, I would have planned my time better. I barely got down to the second floor of brands and lost the opportunity to talk to many of brands.
Event: IPSY Creator Night/Live & Beautifali NYC Beauty Dinner plus GIVEAWAY
On a positive note, the venue and booths were set up really cute! I feel like the brands were more open and expecting to network with us influencers. Many of the brands were also giving away free goodies at the Ipsy Live Preview. Another thing that I loved about Creator Night/Ipsy Live Preview (but didn't get to take pictures of ) is the food and drinks that the event offered. There was a room that had a table full of fruit, cheese, crackers and two bars for complimentary beer, wine, and soft drinks. I thought this was a big step up from the previous year. The presentation of the passed hors d'oeuvres was so adorable! They had mini pizzas in small pizza boxes and other cute bite sized snacks. I was too caught up in the moment to even eat any of the fun foods but I appreciated the thought that went into it. They also had a self serve cocktail wall which was SO cool! The drink was pretty good too!

Between Ipsy Creator Night/Live Preview and Ipsy Live there were TONS of awesome photo ops!  Below are some pics that I took between two days.

OOTD: Mustard Floral Kimono

*This post contains affiliate links. That means if you click on my link and buy something, I will earn a small commission from the advertiser at no additional cost to you. Thank you for supporting Leopard Lace and Cheesecake!

Hey Guys,
Today I wanted to share a great transitional staple for the for the Spring/Summer and Summer/Fall seasons...the kimono! I have so many and think that they are just so fun and versatile. You can easily dress them up or down and they also work in most seasons. You could really wear these in the winter too but I stick to heavier cardigans and such just because its so cold in New England during the winter months. Kimonos are great layering pieces to be worn over dresses, dress pants, jeans, shorts, and skirts! That is why I think they are a great staple piece. Below I am wearing them with jean shorts, a tank, and wedges for a more casual end of the summer look. I have also worn this same cardigan with a longer tank top, leggings, and flats to work. I plan to wear it with a cropped top and high waisted jeans too! Keep reading to get all the outfit deets! I will also share some of my favorite places to buy Kimonos at the bottom of this post!

Hey Guys,
Today I'm going to share my thoughts on the new Urban Decay Naked Honey palette! They sent me the new palette a couple of weeks ago which I am very grateful for. Hey Guys,
Today I wanted to share a beauty event that I attended a few weeks ago in Boston. It's not often that I go to blogging/influencer events in the city. The beauty presence is extremely small here so there aren't many beauty events at all (or that I am aware of). A month or so ago, I got an email from Too Faced saying that they were coming to Boston and wanted to invite me to an event they were holding at Tatte Bakery. I was so excited and honored to get the invite! Keep reading to hear about this event!
