Favorite Neutral Lip Products

Hey Guys,

I've been trying to mix things up and share different content besides reviews and unboxings. Today I am going to share my all time favorite neutral lip products! If you have been following me for a while now you know that 90% of the time I am wearing nude/neutral shades on my lips. I think reds are beautiful but they are very high maintenance. I wear those a few times a year but other than that I don't get very colorful with my lips. I have never been a fan of bright shades like hot pinks or fuchsias. Neutral/nude shades are just so easy to wear and great for everyday. I have an insane amount of lipstick so narrowing it down was pretty hard. Keep reading to find out my favorites!

Review: Urban Decay Stay Naked Foundation & Concealer

Hey Guys,
Today I'm going to share my thoughts on the Urban Decay Stay Naked Foundation and Concealer. I know these products aren't brand new but I have wanted to try them for quite a while now. Urban Decay had a sale on the foundation back in May and I also had an Ulta Birthday Reward so I decided to pick them up. The foundation took really long to get here due to Covid shipping delays so I was only able to use it a few times before it became too light for me. Best of Beauty 2019: Makeup

*This post contains affiliate links. That means if you click on my link and buy something, I will earn a small commission from the advertiser at no additional cost to you.  A few of these products are also gifted. However, the thoughts and opinions in this post are my own. I am always 100% honest in my reviews for all products discussed on my blog.  Thank you for supporting Leopard Lace and Cheesecake!

Hey Guys,
It's been years since I've done a yearly Best of Beauty. However, I am trying to switch up my posts and create content other than just reviews and unboxings. I have decided to do a Best of Beauty post instead of a video because I can never find the time to sit down and film and then edit YouTube videos. It takes way too long and the views just aren't enough to justify it. Also, I am really hoping that people will start reading blogs more often! I decided to break up my Best of Beauty into two segments; makeup and skincare. I have also decided to pick a drugstore/affordable option for some of the categories when I mention a high end brand. Keep reading to hear about the products that I loved the most last year!

Hey Guys,
Today I'm going to share my thoughts on the new Urban Decay Naked Honey palette! They sent me the new palette a couple of weeks ago which I am very grateful for. February Favorites + Flops

Hey Guys,
It's been a pretty good February and I can't wait until the spring time! It was super warm last week and we hit record high temperatures in Boston for the month of February. We hit high 60's and low 70's last week. Saturday I was jogging outside with a short sleeve shirt on but the very next day it was cold and windy in the 40's (which felt like 30's with the wind). I started clothing shopping for the spring. Do you guys like seeing my fashion hauls or are they getting boring? I DEF want to do OOTD posts styling my clothes its just taking the time on the weekend to put together a few outfits, find some cool locations, and take pictures. I always seem to have SOMETHING to do that prevents me from doing so. I am going to make more of an effort once we have steady warm temps to do so. I only have makeup related favorites this month. I have two flops as well, Check out my video below to see what I've been loving!

My Makeup Collection

My Makeup Collection
Hey Guys,
I've been thinking about doing a makeup collection post for a while but wasn't sure if I should do one or not. I didn't want people to think I am bragging or anything so I was hesitant at first. After talking to a few people, they said that they enjoyed reading/watching makeup collections. So, instead of doing a post with a bunch of pictures, I decided to film a makeup collection video. I started collecting makeup back in 2005 when I started working in the cosmetics department at Macy's. Over the years I have got rid of alot of makeup but I've also added a ton too. My collection has REALLY grown over the past few years when I started blogging. One thing that I do want people to know is that no one really needs THIS much makeup. It's a hobby of mine but is no where a realistic amount of makeup. That being said....

To see my makeup collection, click the video below!

*Not included in this video is my purse full of lippies! If you want me to do an updated, What's in my Purse? video let me know below!

Thanks for watching!

Beauty Empties

HI Ladies!
It's been quite a while since I did my last empties post. It takes me quite a while to save up enough to post about. The empties in this post have been saved over about a 4-5 month period.

Let's get right into them!

Batiste Dry Shampoo: I use Batiste every other day and go through a bottle in about 2-3 months. This is the best dry shampoo that I have tried so far. It does leave a powdery residue on your hair if sprayed too close but it can easily patted out. This dry shampoo does a great job at soaking up oils in my hair.
Would I repurchase? Yes, I already have.

Redken Forceful 23 Hairspray: This is the only hairspray that I use. Even though it is a little pricey, it is so worth it. It keeps my curls in place without making them look crunchy or wet. It keeps my hair looking natural as if I had no product in it.
Would I repurchase? Yes, I already have.

Redken Color Extend Shampoo and Conditioner: I began using this when I started to color my hair. Its supposed to help your hair color last longer. I have never really been a fan of how it makes my hair feel after using it. It just doesn't feel clean. I would say it probably does help keep the color in but I just really don't like it. I also think its expensive.
Would I repurchase? Probably not. I have recently purchased the L'Oreal Everpure Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner which is for color-treated hair and sulfate free. Thanks to Kate from Kate Spitz Blog for introducing me to this.

Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Shampoo and Conditioner: I got these in an Influenster Vox Box. You can read my review of them HERE. I really liked this shampoo and conditioner for the summer time when I wore my hair scrunched or curly. It smells great and adds natural waves to my hair.
Would I repurchase? Yes, but only in the summer.
M.A.C. Brush Cleaner: This bottle took me quite a while to use up. I mix it with water and shampoo to clean my brushes.
Would I repurchase? Probably not, I would just buy a cheaper brush cleaner.

NYX HD Photogenic Concealer in Yellow: I reviewed this concealer HERE. I think it is a pretty good concealer especially considering the price.
Would I repurchase? Not the yellow shade but I have repurchase the Beige shade.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Mascara: I love this mascara. It gives me great volume and drama and you can't beat the price.
Would I repurchase? Yes, I already have.
e.l.f. Studio Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths: I love this wipes. They are so inexpensive and work really good. They are also pretty big. I have purchasing these for years. Would I repurchase? Yes, I do every couple months.

CVS Cocoa Butter Deep Conditioning Moisturizer: Cocoa Butter is the only moisturizer that I use for my body. I go back and fourth between the CVS brand and Vaseline brand Cocoa Butter. They both do a great job at keeping my skin soft and moisturized.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

Clarins Water Purify One Step Cleanser with Mint Essential Water: I use this cleanser every morning. I have been using it since 2006 and love it. Its a bit expensive but worth it for me.
Would I repurchase? Yes, I already have.

Montagne Jeunesse Pure Oils Sleep Spa Mask: This is a paper mask that you use before bed. Once you take off the mask you let the product soak into your skin. You don't wash it off. I think paper masks are hard to keep on. This one specifically burned my eyes so bad. I don't know if I touched my eye after putting on the mask or if it was just from the mask being close to my eyes.
Would I repurchase? No.

Lush Mask of Magnaminty: I really loved this mask! You can read my review HERE. Would I repurchase? Yes.

Philosophy Take a Deep Breath Gel Cream Moisturizer: This is my current moisturizer. I just reviewed it not too long ago. You can read my review HERE
Would I repurchase? Yes, I already have.

Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Skin Exfoliant: I got this sample in my Ipsy bag. You can read my review HERE. I really liked it and thought that it worked well. My felt super clean after using it. However, it is super expensive. I know there are much cheaper exfoliants out there that are less money.
Would I repurchase? No.

I hope that you enjoyed my long empties post!

Have you tried any of these products? What are your thoughts? Post your comments below!

April Favorites

Hi Ladies,
Another month has come and gone. I am really glad that its finally starting to warm up. We have had some beautiful days and I am looking forward to many more. I went a little crazy between March and April buying products because of sales and coupons and what not. I decided that I am going to do my very best to do a no buy for May. I have many products to review and try out some more. Below are my favorite products for the  month of April.

Here are my favorites:

Motives Mavens Element Palette
I recently did a review on this palette and have been reach for it all throughout March and April. The colors blend so great and I am just really happy with the wear time of these shadows. My favorite colors in this palette are Birch (matte cream), Shell (shimmer cream/off white) and Native (matte light brown). I haven't tried any looks with Raven (matte black) but I have a couple in mind.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Eden
Last month I mentioned that I was loving my samples of the different Urban Decay primer potions. This month, I actually bought my favorite of the four different kinds. Eden is a matte primer and has the most coverage of the 4 Urban Decay primers that I tried. The coverage is not as much at the MAC Paint Pots but it is creamy and works very well. I have been using this primer every day.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick in Rose
I recieved this Bourjois lipstick in the box swap that I did this month. I love the color and finish of this lipstick. It is a reddish/pink and looks great with many of my more neutral makeup looks. I have worn this lipstick the most this month.

theBalm Hot Mama
I finally received this blush this month after ordering it at the beginning of March. This color is beautiful. It has great pigmentation and looks great with many different looks. I have a review coming in May for this product.

Lush Mask of Magnaminty
I decided to try this mask out after Cella Paz from Never Not Glamorous recommended it to me. This was my first Lush product. I used this product a lot this month. I did enjoy it. It was a nice switch up from my other face masks.

Batiste Original Dry Shampoo
Several beauty bloggers have talked about this product so I decided to give it a try. Since I have been dying my hair red, I wash it every other day. The days I don't wash it my roots are on the greasy side. I have tried other dry shampoos and methods to get rid of the oil look and  haven't had much luck. This product is AWESOME! It works so well! I will most definitely repurchase this product.

Rimmel Scandaleyes
My Rimmel Scandaleyes Flex Mascara was drying out so I decided to try out the original. It definitely doesn't give quite the same drama as the Flex one but I still really like it. I am loving both of these mascaras.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow in Auburn
I finally decided to try out Dipbrow and now I understand all of the hype. This product is amazing. It is a bit tricky to work with for reasons I will discuss in my review, but it blends great. I also don't have issues extending my tail like I did with pencils and other products. I have been using this product everyday.

I hope that you enjoyed my favorites. Keep your eyes out next month for reviews on some of these products and a bunch more!

What were your favorite products this month? Have you tried any of these? Post your comments below!

Review: Ipsy Glam Bag April 2014

Hi Ladies!
March has come and gone and now April is almost over! That means another Ipsy bag has arrived! If you are unfamiliar with Ipsy, it is a monthy beauty subscription service. For $10.00 a month, you get 4-5 deluxe to full size products. It is SO worth your money. I think it is one of the greatest beauty subscription services around. The value of the products that you get each month ALWAYS surpass the cost.  I usually get my bag the 3rd week of the month. It came a bit early this month which was great. This months theme is Beauty Rocks! I was really happy to see that we were ALL getting some higher end products. I was really excited to try out some of the things in my bag this month. I wasn't disappointed about anything which was a plus.

Here are the items that I recieved this month:
