Hey Guys,
Today I'm going to discuss the new L'Oreal Infallible Fresh Wear 24 Hour Foundation and L'Oreal Infallible Full Wear Waterproof Concealer. I picked them both up a month or so ago and I'm ready to share my thoughts.
Review: L'Oreal Infallible Fresh Wear 24 Hour Foundation & Full Wear Waterproof Concealer

L'Oreal Infallible Fresh Wear 24 Hour Foundation $14.99
Review: L'Oreal Infallible Fresh Wear 24 Hour Foundation & Full Wear Waterproof Concealer
Here is what is said about this product on the Ulta site:
"Be Unstoppable. Introducing L'Oreal's breakthrough longwear foundation with breathable-skin technology. Infallible Fresh Wear 24HR Foundation provides medium-to-full buildable coverage that lasts all day and allows the skin to breathe. The formula's three oil absorbers resist sweat, water, and transfer. The ultra-thin liquid goes on smoothly to give a fresh, healthy-looking complexion that lasts. Color stays true and blends in evenly, so your makeup looks fresh all day. Non-comedogenic and formulated with SPF, this foundation is suitable for all skin types. In 30 shades for every skin tone.

Benefits:

  • Up to 24 Hour Fresh Staying Power
  • Long lasting foundation with their most lightweight, breathable texture
  • Waterproof, transfer-resistant and sweat-resistant foundation
  • Medium-to-full buildable coverage foundation, natural finish"
On to my thoughts:
The L'Oreal Infallible Pro Matte foundation and powder are two of my favorite complexion products hands down. However, I struggle to get a perfect color match with that foundation and have to mix foundations to get something close. Even then, I don't get a perfect color match. That being said, the finish is my favorite. It has amazing coverage and is long lasting. The Pro Glow Foundation applied nice and was an easier color match. However, the formula didn't work great with my combination/oily skin. I was really interested to check out this new Fresh Wear formula. I chose the color True Beige and actually did a great job color matching. It was a pretty spot on match. I love that the bottle has a pump. The product itself applied really nice and was buildable. I would call it a medium coverage but you can definitely build it up to a more full coverage. I also agree that its more of a natural finish. Not super matte but not dewy either. It holds up pretty well throughout the day and it controls my oil fairly well too. I do make sure to set it with my L'Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Pressed Powder. Overall, I think this is a great foundation for everyday.

Here is a swatch of the foundation:

March Favorites & Flops

Hey Guys,
Now that we are already into April I'm going to share the products that I was loving in March. I don't know how it is everywhere else in the country but its been super cold for this time of year. We are supposed to see at least 60s by April and 30-40s seem to be the average lately. I really hope that I see no more snow until the winter (but nothing will surprise me). While the heat does get to me every now and then, I would take super hot weather over cold weather any day. I am longing for the warm weather and eventually beach days. New England weather totally makes me want to move down south! I have been trying alot of new products the past few months and have been reviewing a ton of products. Check out my video below to see my favorite products for March! I also linked my reviews below for the products that I've previously reviewed!

July Favorites

Hey Guys,
I'm a bit late on posting my favorites for July but still wanted to get a video filmed. I just got back from Mexico last week. It was so relaxing and the weather and resort were beautiful. We did a day trip to Isle Mujeres where we took a catamaran to the island. We did some snorkeling and swimming off the boat and then docked on the island for some shopping. It was a great trip but I am happy to be home. Whenever I go on vacation I always end up missing home a bit. Check out my video below to see what I was loving for the month of July! I have some exciting news that I discuss in the video as well.

Top 10 Drugstore Favorites Collab

Hey Guys,
Chelsea (from Tiger Love Beauty) asked me to join her and Ashley (from Ashley Sue Makeup) in a collab on their Top 10 Favorite Drugstore Products. Before I started blogging, I probably wouldn't have had any drugstore favorites to talk about. However, over the past year and a half I have tried so many different drugstore products. I found out that there are definitely some amazing affordable products out there. You don't have to spend an arm and a leg to get a good beauty product. Drugstore cosmetic companies have definitely stepped up their game the past few years. I now use more affordable drug store products and only a small handful of more expensive high end brands on a regular basis.

To learn about my favorites, keep reading!

1. L'Oreal Infalliable Pro Matte 16 Hour Foundation $14.99

Top 10 Favorite Drugstore Products
This is SUCH an amazing foundation! Its matte without being too heavy. It blends really nicely and lasts SO LONG. My makeup still looks pretty damn good after working all day long. This is def  becoming HG status. You can read my review HERE.

2. L'Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara $9.99

Top 10 Favorite Drugstore Products
I have tried MANY different mascaras both high end and drug store. This has become hands down one of my favorites. Its affordable and I love how it makes my lashes look. This has quickly become my holy grail mascara.

3. Nyx Push Up Bra For Your Eyebrows $9.99

Top 10 Favorite Drugstore Products
One day when I was at Ulta, I was looking at the Anastasia brow highlighter and the beauty associate recommended this Nyx product instead. Its a fraction of the price and is just a GREAT highlighter. I can't say much about the pencil side as I don't use it.

4. Maybelline Face Studio Master Conceal Concealer $8.99

Top 10 Favorite Drugstore Products
I saw so many youtubers raving about this concealer and had to pick it up and try it out for myself. They were so right! This is an AMAZING concealer. Its SO creamy and a little goes a long way. It blends so nicely and has great coverage. I haven't noticed any creasing under my eyes either. It's definitely my favorite concealer right now. You can check out my review HERE.

5. Milani Baked Blush-(Favs Luminoso, Berry Amore, and Rose D'Oro) $8.49

Top 10 Favorite Drugstore Products
I have a ton of blushes both high end and drugstore. I find myself reaching for these the most. They are great quality, super pigmented, and blend so nicely. I have my favorites, which I listed above. You can read some of my reviews HERE.

6. Maybelline Face Studio Master Prime Blur and Smooth Primer $9.99
Top 10 Favorite Drugstore Products
I was never wowed by a primer until I tried this one. Its not greasy and def makes my foundation go on alot smoother. It makes my face look flawless! You can read my review HERE.

7. Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquers (Favs: Celestial, Big Bang, and Galaxy) $5.89
Top 10 Favorite Drugstore Products
I am not a huge gloss person in general. These first apply like a creamy gloss. However, they are actually more like a liquid lipstick. I love their pigmentation and how long they last on the lips. The applicator makes is super easy to create a precise clean look.

8. Rimmel ScandalEyes Waterproof Kohl Liner $4.49

Top 10 Favorite Drugstore Products
This is the perfect liner for you waterline. I use the Nude almost every day. It opens up your eyes but keeps it more of a natural day time look.

9. Nyx High Voltage Lipsticks $5.99

Top 10 Favorite Drugstore Products
These are pretty new but they are quickly becoming one of my favorite non-matte lipsticks. They are SO CREAMY and SUPER pigmented. They feel so great on your lips and come in so many different colors.

10. Freeman Beautiful Masks $4.29

Top 10 Favorite Drugstore Products
I have alot of different facial scrubs and masks both high end and drug store and I have to admit these are my favorite. These masks are so inexpensive and I love how clean my face feels after using them. My favorite hands down is the Avocado and Oatmeal Clay Mask. You can read my review HERE.

ONLINE: I decided I wanted to mention two more super affordable products that you may not be able to get in drugstores but you can most certainly get online.

City Color Cosmetics Be Matte Blushes $4.99

Top 10 Favorite Drugstore Products
This have to be my favorite blushes EVER! They are only $4.99 and are HUGE. They are matte which is my favorite finish and they are SO PIGMENTED. They also last ALL DAY LONG. I am in love with these. Def my HG blushes. You can check out my review of Papaya HERE.

ColourPop Lippie Stix $5.00

Top 10 Favorite Drugstore Products
I have a TON of lipsticks and lip products and general and these are BY FAR my favorite lipsticks that I own. I wear them most days of the week. They are such an amazing quality lipstick for only $5.00 each. Their matte and satin finishes are my favorite. If I had to pick one color that was my favorite, it would have to be Brink. You can check out my review of some of their Lippie Stix HERE.

Thanks to Chelsea for inviting me to do this collab!

The products are picked based on your profile as well as the season that they send the box in. From what I have read, there were several different variations this month.

Makeup Purge

Hi Ladies!
Beauty blogger Kate from Kate Spitz has a blog series called Collection Clean Up where she lists products that she hasn't used in a while, and decides what she is keeping and what she is getting rid of. Since I have purchased a bunch of products lately, I decided to purge some of my makeup that I don't like or don't use anymore. Thank you Kate for inspiring me to do this post!

Here are the items that I am getting rid of:
Instead of deciding whether or not I will be keeping some of these products, I am just going to pass them on to family and friends.

Battle of the Volumizing Mascaras

Hi Ladies!

My M.A.C. Zoomlash mascara is drying up and starting to make my lashes look clumpy so I decided to try out some new mascaras. I really like mascaras that make my lashes full and dramatic. When purchasing them I look for ones that mention dramatic lashes or volume.

L'Oreal Voluminous Butterfly

I got this mascara in my stocking at Christmas so I tried this out first. I saw some good reviews on this so I was excited to try it. The wand is rubber/plastic and has a very weird shape. It is almost triangle shaped. Though it did a great job at separating the lashes without clumps, I had a really hard time using this.

The shape of the brush had a lot to do with it. Also, it didn't do much to make my lashes look thick and dramatic. I tried this a couple times but just don't like it. I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nyx Le Frou Frou

I have never tried a Nyx mascara before so I decided to pick one up. I chose this one because it mentioned that it was a volumizing mascara. I didn't love this one but I didn't hate it either.

I definitely don't think it did much to give my eyes a dramatic look but it did give a nice natural look to them. It didn't clump at all. The mascara itself was a little watery and not very thick. I would recommend this mascara to someone looking for more of a natural look.

Maybelline the Colossal Cat Eyes

After the Voluminous Butterfly being a dud, I tried this Maybelline mascara. The bristles are more the kind that I like but I was a little hesitant of the mascara because of the shape. I wasn't sure I was going to like it.

It turns out I was right. I was sure which way to use this wand either. Although it was a little bit easier than the previous, I still wasn't thrilled with the outcome of my lashes. It didn't give much more drama than the last. I didn't like this one either and returned it. I would not recommend this mascara either.

Rimmel ScandalEyes Flex

I have never used a Rimmel mascara before but a friend recommended the original ScandalEyes. The CVS near me did not have the original in stock so I tried this. Out of the 4 mascaras I have tried in the past month I liked this one the best.

As you can see this brush is HUGE. It has to be the biggest one I have ever seen! This was the easiest brush to use and did the best at volumizing my eyelashes and making them look dramatic. I didn't have any clumping but because of the size of this brush this may dry out fast. I would say that this mascara is very similar to the Better than Sex mascara by Too Faced. It gives you a very similar effect but costs a third of the price ($24.00 vs $8.00). I actually prefer this mascara. I would definitely recommend this.

Have you tried any of these mascaras? What do you think of them? What is your favorite mascara? Post your comments below!

-Tanya xoxo
