Hey Guys,

With the holidays right around the corner, I wanted to share my favorite red lip products. I don't wear red that often. Probably a handful of times a year. However, it always photographs so pretty! Blue based red lipstick also makes your teeth look whiter! My favorite times of the year to wear red lip products are Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and the 4th of July. Below are some of my favorite brands and shades that are my go-tos when rocking a red lip. I have linked all available products in the text link above the image as well as in the "Shop this Post" below. Keep reading to hear about my favorites!

Top 10 Drugstore Favorites Collab

Hey Guys,
Chelsea (from Tiger Love Beauty) asked me to join her and Ashley (from Ashley Sue Makeup) in a collab on their Top 10 Favorite Drugstore Products. Before I started blogging, I probably wouldn't have had any drugstore favorites to talk about. However, over the past year and a half I have tried so many different drugstore products. I found out that there are definitely some amazing affordable products out there. You don't have to spend an arm and a leg to get a good beauty product. Drugstore cosmetic companies have definitely stepped up their game the past few years. I now use more affordable drug store products and only a small handful of more expensive high end brands on a regular basis.

To learn about my favorites, keep reading!

1. L'Oreal Infalliable Pro Matte 16 Hour Foundation $14.99

Top 10 Favorite Drugstore Products
This is SUCH an amazing foundation! Its matte without being too heavy. It blends really nicely and lasts SO LONG. My makeup still looks pretty damn good after working all day long. This is def  becoming HG status. You can read my review HERE.

2. L'Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara $9.99

Top 10 Favorite Drugstore Products
I have tried MANY different mascaras both high end and drug store. This has become hands down one of my favorites. Its affordable and I love how it makes my lashes look. This has quickly become my holy grail mascara.

3. Nyx Push Up Bra For Your Eyebrows $9.99

Top 10 Favorite Drugstore Products
One day when I was at Ulta, I was looking at the Anastasia brow highlighter and the beauty associate recommended this Nyx product instead. Its a fraction of the price and is just a GREAT highlighter. I can't say much about the pencil side as I don't use it.

4. Maybelline Face Studio Master Conceal Concealer $8.99

Top 10 Favorite Drugstore Products
I saw so many youtubers raving about this concealer and had to pick it up and try it out for myself. They were so right! This is an AMAZING concealer. Its SO creamy and a little goes a long way. It blends so nicely and has great coverage. I haven't noticed any creasing under my eyes either. It's definitely my favorite concealer right now. You can check out my review HERE.

5. Milani Baked Blush-(Favs Luminoso, Berry Amore, and Rose D'Oro) $8.49

Top 10 Favorite Drugstore Products
I have a ton of blushes both high end and drugstore. I find myself reaching for these the most. They are great quality, super pigmented, and blend so nicely. I have my favorites, which I listed above. You can read some of my reviews HERE.

6. Maybelline Face Studio Master Prime Blur and Smooth Primer $9.99
Top 10 Favorite Drugstore Products
I was never wowed by a primer until I tried this one. Its not greasy and def makes my foundation go on alot smoother. It makes my face look flawless! You can read my review HERE.

7. Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquers (Favs: Celestial, Big Bang, and Galaxy) $5.89
Top 10 Favorite Drugstore Products
I am not a huge gloss person in general. These first apply like a creamy gloss. However, they are actually more like a liquid lipstick. I love their pigmentation and how long they last on the lips. The applicator makes is super easy to create a precise clean look.

8. Rimmel ScandalEyes Waterproof Kohl Liner $4.49

Top 10 Favorite Drugstore Products
This is the perfect liner for you waterline. I use the Nude almost every day. It opens up your eyes but keeps it more of a natural day time look.

9. Nyx High Voltage Lipsticks $5.99

Top 10 Favorite Drugstore Products
These are pretty new but they are quickly becoming one of my favorite non-matte lipsticks. They are SO CREAMY and SUPER pigmented. They feel so great on your lips and come in so many different colors.

10. Freeman Beautiful Masks $4.29

Top 10 Favorite Drugstore Products
I have alot of different facial scrubs and masks both high end and drug store and I have to admit these are my favorite. These masks are so inexpensive and I love how clean my face feels after using them. My favorite hands down is the Avocado and Oatmeal Clay Mask. You can read my review HERE.

ONLINE: I decided I wanted to mention two more super affordable products that you may not be able to get in drugstores but you can most certainly get online.

City Color Cosmetics Be Matte Blushes $4.99

Top 10 Favorite Drugstore Products
This have to be my favorite blushes EVER! They are only $4.99 and are HUGE. They are matte which is my favorite finish and they are SO PIGMENTED. They also last ALL DAY LONG. I am in love with these. Def my HG blushes. You can check out my review of Papaya HERE.

ColourPop Lippie Stix $5.00

Top 10 Favorite Drugstore Products
I have a TON of lipsticks and lip products and general and these are BY FAR my favorite lipsticks that I own. I wear them most days of the week. They are such an amazing quality lipstick for only $5.00 each. Their matte and satin finishes are my favorite. If I had to pick one color that was my favorite, it would have to be Brink. You can check out my review of some of their Lippie Stix HERE.

Thanks to Chelsea for inviting me to do this collab!

My Makeup Collection

My Makeup Collection
Hey Guys,
I've been thinking about doing a makeup collection post for a while but wasn't sure if I should do one or not. I didn't want people to think I am bragging or anything so I was hesitant at first. After talking to a few people, they said that they enjoyed reading/watching makeup collections. So, instead of doing a post with a bunch of pictures, I decided to film a makeup collection video. I started collecting makeup back in 2005 when I started working in the cosmetics department at Macy's. Over the years I have got rid of alot of makeup but I've also added a ton too. My collection has REALLY grown over the past few years when I started blogging. One thing that I do want people to know is that no one really needs THIS much makeup. It's a hobby of mine but is no where a realistic amount of makeup. That being said....

To see my makeup collection, click the video below!

*Not included in this video is my purse full of lippies! If you want me to do an updated, What's in my Purse? video let me know below!

Thanks for watching!

Review: Influenster Frosty VoxBox*

Influenster Frosty VoxBox
Hi Ladies!

I was super excited when I saw that I was going to be getting another Influenster VoxBox! I think that Influenster is a really cool program and think its a great way to try out new products! For those of you unfamiliar with Influenster, it is a site that works with different brands to promote their products. As an Influenster you link up all of your social media accounts. The more active you are in social media, the better chance you have at getting chosen for Voxboxes. However, some Voxboxes can be completely random or very specific having to do with specific demographics. You also complete quizzes on different subjects to become "experts" in that area.  I recieved the Frosty VoxBox for testing and review purposes. I think that this box had a good variety of products in it from food items to beauty!

Beauty Empties

HI Ladies!
It's been quite a while since I did my last empties post. It takes me quite a while to save up enough to post about. The empties in this post have been saved over about a 4-5 month period.

Let's get right into them!

Batiste Dry Shampoo: I use Batiste every other day and go through a bottle in about 2-3 months. This is the best dry shampoo that I have tried so far. It does leave a powdery residue on your hair if sprayed too close but it can easily patted out. This dry shampoo does a great job at soaking up oils in my hair.
Would I repurchase? Yes, I already have.

Redken Forceful 23 Hairspray: This is the only hairspray that I use. Even though it is a little pricey, it is so worth it. It keeps my curls in place without making them look crunchy or wet. It keeps my hair looking natural as if I had no product in it.
Would I repurchase? Yes, I already have.

Redken Color Extend Shampoo and Conditioner: I began using this when I started to color my hair. Its supposed to help your hair color last longer. I have never really been a fan of how it makes my hair feel after using it. It just doesn't feel clean. I would say it probably does help keep the color in but I just really don't like it. I also think its expensive.
Would I repurchase? Probably not. I have recently purchased the L'Oreal Everpure Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner which is for color-treated hair and sulfate free. Thanks to Kate from Kate Spitz Blog for introducing me to this.

Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Shampoo and Conditioner: I got these in an Influenster Vox Box. You can read my review of them HERE. I really liked this shampoo and conditioner for the summer time when I wore my hair scrunched or curly. It smells great and adds natural waves to my hair.
Would I repurchase? Yes, but only in the summer.
M.A.C. Brush Cleaner: This bottle took me quite a while to use up. I mix it with water and shampoo to clean my brushes.
Would I repurchase? Probably not, I would just buy a cheaper brush cleaner.

NYX HD Photogenic Concealer in Yellow: I reviewed this concealer HERE. I think it is a pretty good concealer especially considering the price.
Would I repurchase? Not the yellow shade but I have repurchase the Beige shade.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Mascara: I love this mascara. It gives me great volume and drama and you can't beat the price.
Would I repurchase? Yes, I already have.
e.l.f. Studio Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths: I love this wipes. They are so inexpensive and work really good. They are also pretty big. I have purchasing these for years. Would I repurchase? Yes, I do every couple months.

CVS Cocoa Butter Deep Conditioning Moisturizer: Cocoa Butter is the only moisturizer that I use for my body. I go back and fourth between the CVS brand and Vaseline brand Cocoa Butter. They both do a great job at keeping my skin soft and moisturized.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

Clarins Water Purify One Step Cleanser with Mint Essential Water: I use this cleanser every morning. I have been using it since 2006 and love it. Its a bit expensive but worth it for me.
Would I repurchase? Yes, I already have.

Montagne Jeunesse Pure Oils Sleep Spa Mask: This is a paper mask that you use before bed. Once you take off the mask you let the product soak into your skin. You don't wash it off. I think paper masks are hard to keep on. This one specifically burned my eyes so bad. I don't know if I touched my eye after putting on the mask or if it was just from the mask being close to my eyes.
Would I repurchase? No.

Lush Mask of Magnaminty: I really loved this mask! You can read my review HERE. Would I repurchase? Yes.

Philosophy Take a Deep Breath Gel Cream Moisturizer: This is my current moisturizer. I just reviewed it not too long ago. You can read my review HERE
Would I repurchase? Yes, I already have.

Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Skin Exfoliant: I got this sample in my Ipsy bag. You can read my review HERE. I really liked it and thought that it worked well. My felt super clean after using it. However, it is super expensive. I know there are much cheaper exfoliants out there that are less money.
Would I repurchase? No.

I hope that you enjoyed my long empties post!

Have you tried any of these products? What are your thoughts? Post your comments below!

Review: Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Gel Eyeliner and Precision Micro Eyeliner

Hi Ladies,
Today I am going to review two Rimmel eyeliners. The first is a potted gel eyeliner and the second is a felt tip eyeliner. Both are very affordable and have their pros and cons.

Here is what is said about this gel eyeliner on the Rimmel site:
Up to 24 hours of rich, intense colour that doesn't flake, smudge, smear or run.
• Easy to apply, glides easily
• Professional brush for complete control to draw the lines you want

Available in 4 shades: black, brown, purple, and blue "

This gel eyeliner is very pigmented and goes on smooth. It is a little sticky when you first apply it however, it dries normal. I have worn this on several occasions and it lasts all day long with no smudging or fading. I really enjoyed this liner. One thing that I didn't like about this eyeliner was the brush that came with it. Its not the worst brush in the world but the tip is rounded and I found it difficult to draw an even straight line. I use my own flat tipped liner brush to use with this.

Scandaleyes Precision Micro Eyeliner $5.99 at Walgreens
Here is what is said about this felt tip eyeliner on the Rimmel site:
"• Ultra fine applicator draws a super precise line
• Intense colour lasts up to 24 hours
• Waterproof and smudge-proof"

This liner is good if you want a super thin line. I felt that it applied a little watery but it wasn't the worst liquid liner I have tried. When I was drawing on the liner, I felt that I had to keep going over it several times to try to make the color solid and darker. It was taking the liner underneath off when I was drawing over it. I found that I had to let the first layer dry before adding more color to it.

Here are swatches of the liners:
Left: Scandaleyes Waterproof Gel Eyeliner Right: Scandaleyes Precision Micro Eyeliner

Overall, I definitely prefer the first liner better. It is a nice switch up from my Kat Von D liquid liner. I would recommend the Scandaleyes Gel Eyeliner however the Precision Micro Eyeliner was kind of a miss for me. This is just my opinion so someone else might hate the gel liner and love the micro liner. These are cheap enough for you to try out both during a  BOGO 50% off sale at the drugstore.

Have you tried either of these eye liners? What are your thoughts on them? Post your comments below!

Review: Rimmel Matte BB Cream

Hi Ladies,
Today I want to share with you my thoughts on Rimmel's new Matte BB Cream. I got this product back in July but am just getting around to reviewing it. I found this product at Target but haven't seen it at any of my local drugstores. I guess it can also be purchased at Walmart as I have found it for sale on their website.

Rimmel BB Cream Matte in Medium $6.49 at Walmart
Here is what is said about the product on the Rimmel London site:
"This specially formulated BB Cream is packed with matte perfecting benefits, resulting in gorgeous and shine free skin! Minimising the appearance of pores and evening skin tone while controlling shine, the lightweight formula makes it perfect for combination to oily skin, with ideal benefits: soothes, conceals dark circles and even helps prevent blemishes."
http://us.rimmellondon.com/products/face/bb-cream-matte

Here are swatches of the Matte BB Cream:
I really love this BB Cream! It is definitely more matte than Rimmel's normal BB Creams. I think it also has better coverage. It has more coverage than any other BB cream that I have tried. I do still need to use a powder to finish my look. The Matte BB Cream stays on great but I feel that I do get a little oily throughout the day. One negative thing is that it only comes in two shades; Light and Medium. I think that they need to add a fairly light shade, medium/dark, and dark shade. I think the medium shade matches me pretty well. I would consider myself to have a light/medium skintone. They definitely need to add colors to accommodate more skin tones. I think they also need to do this with their normal BB Cream.

Here is a picture of me wearing the Matte BB Cream along with the Stay Matte Pressed Powder. It does contain SPF 15 so it does wash me out a bit in some pictures.
Overall, I really love this BB Cream.has great coverage and doesn't look too heavy. It  I used this all summer and mixed it with darker BB Cream when I was tan. I would definitely recommend it if you think that the one of the two shades would match you.

Have you tried Rimmel's new Matte BB Cream or their original? Do you know of any other matte BB creams? Post your comments below!

My Favorite Bronzers

Hi Ladies,
Since the summer is quickly coming to an end, I wanted to share with you two of my current favorite bronzers. These are my favorite ones to apply to my cheeks and nose etc (not for contouring). They are two very different types of bronzers having different finishes, shades, and prices.

Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder in Bronze 03 $36.00
I actually recieved this as a gift from a co-worker. It came in a little gift bag with other deluxe sized samples of Laura Mercier products. I wasn't expecting much from this bronzer but I actually really love it! It has a matte finish and is better for light/medium skin tones. It may be too darker for fair/light skin shades. This bronzer comes in lighter shades as well. The color blends in beautifully and does not show up too orange on me. It looks very natural giving me a sunkissed look.

On the opposite end of the spectrum is this Rimmel Natural Bronzer. I believe this is the lightest shade in this line. This bronzer is very shimmery which some people might not like. It may show up a little orange on some people but it doesn't really do that on me. I used this earlier in the summer when I was lighter. Like I said, it does have shimmer so I only used a little on my cheeks. It gives a nice glow. I also like to use it on the crease of my eye when I want a more natural, no makeup-makeup look.

Have you tried either of these? What are your favorite bronzers? Post your comments below!

July Favorites

Hi Ladies!
July has ended as quickly as it came! Its sad to think the summer is almost over. I didn't have too many favorite products this month but once again Rimmel products seem to be a good amount of them. I have a TON of new products to try out and review in the coming months. So hopefully, you will see new brands popping up in my favorites.

Here are my favorites for July:

Review: Rimmel Glam' Eyes Quad in Royal Rose

Hi Ladies!
Today I am going to review for you the Rimmel Glam' Eyes HD Eyeshadow in Royal Rose. I recieved this item from Influenster as one of my Rimmel badge prizes. The colors in this palette are rosey pinks and rosey brown shades. There is also a purple shade and a whiteish-silver shade. I didn't have high hopes on the quality of this shadow after the wear time wasn't great on my other Rimmel shadow quad. Keep reading to hear my thoughts on this one.

Lip Product Addict Tag

Hi Ladies!
Happy 4th of July! We are getting a bunch of rain today due to Hurricane Arthur so all of our holiday plans have been postponed until tomorrow. Bummer...but since I'm rained in, I figured I would do some cleaning and share a recent tag that I did.

The beautiful Sissi from Beauty4Free2U tagged me to do the Lip Product Addict Tag. Since lip products are one of my favorite beauty products, I figured I had to do this. Make sure you check Sissi's picks HERE.

Tag Questions:
I almost always use this lip balm before apply any lip products when I am getting ready in the morning. It has no scent and makes you lips feel soft and smooth. I use a bunch of different clear lip balms and this is my favorite of them all.

June Favorites

Hi Ladies!
Today I am going to share with you my favorite products for June. This month ended almost as quickly as it came. The past four weeks flew by! I am pretty excited that July is almost here. I have some fun events coming up in July including a 4th of July Party, a Motives Trunk Show, and my trip to Mexico! This month, I didn't really have a favorite blush or eyeshadow palette which is rare for me. I did however have a ton of other favorites!
