Review: BoxyCharm August 2017
Today I'm going to share my thoughts on my BoxyCharm for August! I was super excited when the CEO Yosef announced that we would be getting a Tarte palette in our box. I am part of a group called Boxy Babes on Facebook and the CEO of BoxyCharm frequently comments on there and gives us spoilers for upcoming boxes. Aside from the makeup, one thing I REALLY like about BoxyCharm is their customer service excellence. Also that their CEO truly cares about his customers. I don't know any other company where they have their CEO interacting with customers like that. I think that is really cool. For those of you unfamiliar with BoxyCharm, it is a monthly beauty subscription box. You receive 4-5 FULL SIZED products each month. The subscription is $21.00 a month and usually has a theme. The theme for the month of August was "Beach Please". Keep reading below to hear my thoughts on each product and to check out the featured brand discount codes this month.

My Makeup Collection
Hey Guys,
I've been thinking about doing a makeup collection post for a while but wasn't sure if I should do one or not. I didn't want people to think I am bragging or anything so I was hesitant at first. After talking to a few people, they said that they enjoyed reading/watching makeup collections. So, instead of doing a post with a bunch of pictures, I decided to film a makeup collection video. I started collecting makeup back in 2005 when I started working in the cosmetics department at Macy's. Over the years I have got rid of alot of makeup but I've also added a ton too. My collection has REALLY grown over the past few years when I started blogging. One thing that I do want people to know is that no one really needs THIS much makeup. It's a hobby of mine but is no where a realistic amount of makeup. That being said....
To see my makeup collection, click the video below!
*Not included in this video is my purse full of lippies! If you want me to do an updated, What's in my Purse? video let me know below!
Thanks for watching!

Beauty Empties
HI Ladies!
It's been quite a while since I did my last empties post. It takes me quite a while to save up enough to post about. The empties in this post have been saved over about a 4-5 month period.
Let's get right into them!
Batiste Dry Shampoo: I use Batiste every other day and go through a bottle in about 2-3 months. This is the best dry shampoo that I have tried so far. It does leave a powdery residue on your hair if sprayed too close but it can easily patted out. This dry shampoo does a great job at soaking up oils in my hair.
Would I repurchase? Yes, I already have.
Redken Forceful 23 Hairspray: This is the only hairspray that I use. Even though it is a little pricey, it is so worth it. It keeps my curls in place without making them look crunchy or wet. It keeps my hair looking natural as if I had no product in it.
Would I repurchase? Yes, I already have.
Redken Color Extend Shampoo and Conditioner: I began using this when I started to color my hair. Its supposed to help your hair color last longer. I have never really been a fan of how it makes my hair feel after using it. It just doesn't feel clean. I would say it probably does help keep the color in but I just really don't like it. I also think its expensive.
Would I repurchase? Probably not. I have recently purchased the L'Oreal Everpure Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner which is for color-treated hair and sulfate free. Thanks to Kate from Kate Spitz Blog for introducing me to this.
Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Shampoo and Conditioner: I got these in an Influenster Vox Box. You can read my review of them HERE. I really liked this shampoo and conditioner for the summer time when I wore my hair scrunched or curly. It smells great and adds natural waves to my hair.
Would I repurchase? Yes, but only in the summer.
M.A.C. Brush Cleaner: This bottle took me quite a while to use up. I mix it with water and shampoo to clean my brushes.
Would I repurchase? Probably not, I would just buy a cheaper brush cleaner.
Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray: I really like
NYX HD Photogenic Concealer in Yellow: I reviewed this concealer HERE. I think it is a pretty good concealer especially considering the price.
Would I repurchase? Not the yellow shade but I have repurchase the Beige shade.
Rimmel Scandaleyes Mascara: I love this mascara. It gives me great volume and drama and you can't beat the price.
Would I repurchase? Yes, I already have.
e.l.f. Studio Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths: I love this wipes. They are so inexpensive and work really good. They are also pretty big. I have purchasing these for years. Would I repurchase? Yes, I do every couple months.
CVS Cocoa Butter Deep Conditioning Moisturizer: Cocoa Butter is the only moisturizer that I use for my body. I go back and fourth between the CVS brand and Vaseline brand Cocoa Butter. They both do a great job at keeping my skin soft and moisturized.
Would I repurchase? Yes.
Clarins Water Purify One Step Cleanser with Mint Essential Water: I use this cleanser every morning. I have been using it since 2006 and love it. Its a bit expensive but worth it for me.
Would I repurchase? Yes, I already have.
Montagne Jeunesse Pure Oils Sleep Spa Mask: This is a paper mask that you use before bed. Once you take off the mask you let the product soak into your skin. You don't wash it off. I think paper masks are hard to keep on. This one specifically burned my eyes so bad. I don't know if I touched my eye after putting on the mask or if it was just from the mask being close to my eyes.
Would I repurchase? No.
Lush Mask of Magnaminty: I really loved this mask! You can read my review HERE. Would I repurchase? Yes.
Philosophy Take a Deep Breath Gel Cream Moisturizer: This is my current moisturizer. I just reviewed it not too long ago. You can read my review HERE.
Would I repurchase? Yes, I already have.
Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Skin Exfoliant: I got this sample in my Ipsy bag. You can read my review HERE. I really liked it and thought that it worked well. My felt super clean after using it. However, it is super expensive. I know there are much cheaper exfoliants out there that are less money.
Would I repurchase? No.
I hope that you enjoyed my long empties post!

Lip Product Addict Tag
Hi Ladies!
Happy 4th of July! We are getting a bunch of rain today due to Hurricane Arthur so all of our holiday plans have been postponed until tomorrow. Bummer...but since I'm rained in, I figured I would do some cleaning and share a recent tag that I did.

The beautiful Sissi from Beauty4Free2U tagged me to do the Lip Product Addict Tag. Since lip products are one of my favorite beauty products, I figured I had to do this. Make sure you check Sissi's picks HERE.
Tag Questions:
1. Favorite balm/treatment? Nivea Kiss of Smoothness Hydrating Lip Care
I almost always use this lip balm before apply any lip products when I am getting ready in the morning. It has no scent and makes you lips feel soft and smooth. I use a bunch of different clear lip balms and this is my favorite of them all.

Pressing Loose Pigments
My lovely blogger friend Chelsea over at Tiger Love Beauty recently posted a tutorial on how to press loose pigments. You can check her tutorial out HERE. Her tutorial is very easy to follow and has pictures as well to explain each step. Thanks Chelsea!
I decided to try this out because I had a ton of MAC pigments that I got a few years ago during Christmas that I never use. The colors are all beautiful but using loose pigments is just messy. Pressed shadows are just easier and more convenient in my opinion. I figured that if I pressed my pigments, I would be more likely to use them.

Spring Makeup Trend: Navy and Orange
Hi Ladies,
I'm sure you have seen plenty of Spring Trend posts all over the place lately. One trend that I am really loving is the navy liner paired with orange lips. Some of my blogger friends have done posts on these trends already. They have inspired me to go out of my comfort zone and try it too. Please make sure that you check out these girls posts as they were the inspiration behind this post.
Lily from Beauty with Lily-Spring 2014 Makeup Trends
Jackie from Five Two Certified-Spring Lip Trends-Orange Lip
I am going to do a mini review of the 2 featured products before I get into my look.
To create this look, I used the Milani Liquid Eye Eyeliner Pencil in Blue and MAC lipstick in So Chaud. I chose these colors to go for a more bold look.
The Milani Liquid Eye in Blue is a great liner! It is really inexpensive ($5.97 at Walmart) and can be found at most drug stores. It glides on so smooth and the color is very pigmented. This liner lasted me all day and night (7:30am-11:30 pm) and didn't really fade much at all.
