Review: ColourPop NKLA x Laura Lee Los Angeles Collection

Hey Guys,
Today I'm going to share ColourPop's new Laura Lee x NKLA collection! This is the 3rd year that ColourPop has come out with a limited edition item in collab with No Kill LA & Best Friends Animal Society. 100% of the net proceeds are donated to this effort to stop euthanasia in animal shelters. You can see my review of their first shadow for this cause called Puppy Love HERE. Last year they came out with a shadow called Cat Nip. Both shadows as well as this collection are available right now on ColourPop's site! Each year I purchase for this cause since it is so near and dear to my heart. As soon as I found out they were doing it again this year, I knew I was going to get it regardless of what it looked like. I had mixed feelings about this collection. Keep reading to hear my thoughts, see swatches, and see a look that I created.

ColourPop NKLA x Laura Lee Los Angeles Collection
All of the items in the collection can be purchased on their own or as a bundle. I purchased both the lip bundle and the shadow quad bundle. The super shock shadows are $5.00 each and the lip products are $6.00 each.

Right away, I fell in love with the packaging and color scheme. Its's so beautiful. I love the metallic rose gold detail.

Review: Derma E Vitamin C Micellar Cleansing Water & Radiance Toner

Hey Guys,
Today I'm going to share my thoughts on some Derma E products. While I was at Gen Beauty NYC I went over to the Derma E booth and introduced myself since I had worked with them in the past. I got to meet one of the PR reps for the brand and she was super sweet. She gifted me with an influencer goody bag which contained the two products that I will be discussing in this post. For those of you unfamiliar with Derma E, All of their products are natural, cruelty free, and 100% vegan. Derma E is now found at Target, Ulta, Whole Foods, and on their website.  I first discovered Derma E back when I was subscribed to Ipsy. I recieved a jar of the Derma E Microdermabrasion Scrub in one one my bags and to this day its one of my favorites. I reviewed a bunch of their other products which you can check out HERE. Keep reading to hear about their Vitamin C Micellar Water and Radiance Toner!
Derma E Vitamin C Micellar Cleansing Water & Radiance Toner

Derma E Vitamin C Micellar Cleansing Water & Radiance Toner
Here is what is said about this product on the Derma E site:
"This refreshing Vitamin C cleansing water dissolves long-lasting makeup and impurities, while improving the appearance of skin’s texture and promoting healthy collagen. Micellar technology gently lifts off dirt without rinsing, while maintaining skin’s proper balance. Anti-aging Probiotics and antioxidant-rich Rooibos help skin to appear brighter and replenished.
We use a stable form of Vitamin C that won’t evaporate or alter before absorbing into your skin, to work better for you, naturally."
Ingredients:
Purified Water, Propanediol (Vegetable Derived), Sorbitan Oleate Decylglucoside Crosspolymer (Plant Derived), Polysorbate 20, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C, Stay-C® 50), Phytic Acid, Alpha-Glucan Oligosaccharide (Vegetable Derived), Polymnia Sonchifolia (Yacón) Root Juice, Maltodextrin, Lactobacillus (Probiotic), Aspalathus Linearis (Rooibos) Leaf Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Natural Fragrance Oils.

Previous to this, I have never tried any Micellar Waters before. I was really excited to give this a try. I have been using both this Micellar Water and the Radiance Toner for about 3-4 weeks. For the most part, I have been using them together both AM and PM. However, once or twice a week I switch things up and use other products. When It comes to the Micellar Water, I think its great as an added product to cleanse your face. I wouldn't use this in place of a makeup remover but instead use it AFTER washing off your making and cleansing your face. It will get any extra dirt or makeup that a cleanser or makeup remover has missed. It has a very subtle citrus scent and feels nice on the face. I do feel that my face feels refreshed after using it and I love that it contains anti aging probiotics and antioxidants. I love using this in the AM when I wake up. Because I shower at night, I remove all my makeup, cleanse my face, and do a whole skincare routine before bed. When I wake up in the AM my face isn't DIRTY. Therefore, I just splash some water on my face and use the Micellar Water as a refresher. I also think its great to use after working out.

Review: ColourPop Haul #2

Hey Guys,
Recently I shared my first ColourPop haul that you can check out HERE. My friend El got me some ColourPop products as an early birthday present. I still had other products on my GIANT wishlist and decided to pick up some more. All of these products will get used in the spring and summer months so that is my justification for ordering them lol. I still have a few items on my ColourPop list but I will save them for the fall/winter since the colors are more fitting for those seasons. So back to this haul... ColourPop came out with Sand, Nectar, and Pink Spring Collections. While the Pink Collection didn't really interest me, a bunch of items from the Sand and Nectar Collections did. I already talked about some in my last haul. Below are some more items from the Sand and Nectar collections plus other items that I've had on my list for a while. Keep reading to see what I got and to hear my thoughts on each!

Review: Tarte Maneater Palette

Hey Guys,
Today I am going to share my thoughts on the Tarte Maneater palette! I don't own many Tarte palettes. The only ones that I have ever had were the limited edition Holiday palettes. While they were pretty, they just seemed underwhelming to me. I never really reached for them over my other palettes. A couple months ago the Tarte Maneater palette was released. For whatever reason, this palette really interested me. All of the colors looked like ones that I would use. I decided to go to Ulta and swatch the palette in person. I was on the fence between this palette and the Tarte Double Duty Don't Quit Your Day Dream eyeshadow palette. They were both the same price and swatched beautifully. I decided on the Maneater Palette because I thought it was a little bit more versatile.  Keep reading to hear my thoughts on this palette!

Tarte Maneater Palette
It looks like this is a limited edition palette. It is no longer on the Ulta site. I'm not sure if it's out of stock or gone. I did find it on the Tarte site which I linked above.

Review: BH Cosmetics Metal Rose Brush Set

Hey Guys,
Today I am going to share my thoughts on the BH Cosmetics brush set that Colin got me for Christmas. I have been using it for a few weeks and am ready to share my thoughts!

BH Cosmetics Metal Rose Makeup Brush Set
The brushes are cruelty free and synthetic. At first glance, the brushes feel really luxurious and high quality. The fact that they are made out of metal really adds to this. The case is really nice too and is pretty big.

February Favorites + Flops

Hey Guys,
It's been a pretty good February and I can't wait until the spring time! It was super warm last week and we hit record high temperatures in Boston for the month of February. We hit high 60's and low 70's last week. Saturday I was jogging outside with a short sleeve shirt on but the very next day it was cold and windy in the 40's (which felt like 30's with the wind). I started clothing shopping for the spring. Do you guys like seeing my fashion hauls or are they getting boring? I DEF want to do OOTD posts styling my clothes its just taking the time on the weekend to put together a few outfits, find some cool locations, and take pictures. I always seem to have SOMETHING to do that prevents me from doing so. I am going to make more of an effort once we have steady warm temps to do so. I only have makeup related favorites this month. I have two flops as well, Check out my video below to see what I've been loving!

Review: BH Cosmetics Gold Rush Palette

Hey Guys,
Today I am going to share my thoughts on the BH Cosmetics Gold Rush Palette. Colin got me this palette for Christmas. I have been testing it out ever since. I haven't tried any BH Cosmetics palettes prior to the items that he got me but I have always wanted to. They are known for their super affordable pricing and their cute brush sets. They are probably most known for the  collab that they did with Carli Bybel. During the holidays, they had tons of sales which made the prices even lower. I believe they are also cruelty free. Keep reading to hear my thoughts on this palette!

BH Cosmetics Gold Rush Eye & Cheek Palette $12.50
BH Cosmetics Gold Rush Palette
This palette isn't showing up on their site anymore. I'm not sure if it is out of stock or if it is discontinued. It comes with 12 eye shadows and 3 face products. It is made of a heavy cardboard and has a decent sized mirror on the inside.

There are 5 mattes and 7 shimmers. It also includes 1 highlighter, 1 blush, and 1 bronzer. All three face products have a shimmer to them.

Review: Kat Von D Shade + Light Blush Duos

Hey Guys,
Today I am going to share my thoughts on some Kat Von D Shade and Light blushes that I found at TJ Maxx FOR $6.99 each! These blushes are normally $25.00 so that is a major deal. However, I think they are discontinued or being reformulated since they are no longer on the Sephora site.
