Review: March Wantable Box

 Hi Ladies!
After reading a ton of reviews, I decided to give Wantable a try. If you are unfamiliar with Wantable, it is a beauty subscription box that you can sign up for monthly (or whenever you would like). It is $36.00 a month or $40.00 for a one time box. You get 4-5 full size products that are tailored to your beauty profile that you fill out when signing up. If you are not happy with your box, you can send the whole box back and get a refund.
Here are the items that I recieved:

La Bella Donna: Compressed Mineral Eyeshadow $20.00
I was pleased to see this shadow in my box. Eyeshadows and lip products always excite me. This color is a pretty Rose/Bronze color. The color goes on nice and smooth and has good pigmentation. The price is pretty expensive for a single shadow (in my opinion). However, I was glad that I recieved this in a box where I didn't pay full price for the item.

Here is a look that I created using this shadow. It is the crease color.

Mia BelleZZA The Ultimate Eye Pencil in Medium Brown $21.50
I have been loving trying new brow products as of lately, so , I was glad to see this as well. When I swatched it, it looked like it would be a good color for me. When I put it on my brows, it actually looks like it has a red tone to it. However, coincidentally, I just re-dyed my hair an auburn color so it goes well with my hair color. I have been using this pencil but not by itself. I have been filling my brows in with this pencil lightly, then blending out, then going in with my Bulletproof Brows. The pencil itself is a little thick so I can't extend the tail of my brow with it. Also, it is a twisty pencil and it moves around a lot when I am trying to use it. Does that make sense? I don't really like the spooley on this. Its too big and stiff. On a positive note, this pencil does blend out nice.

Girlactik Beauty Sparkle Lavender Set $20.00
I am not a fan of glitter so I wasn't sure about this product. It is actually a cool concept though. This comes with a pot of black liner/cream base. What you do is line your eyes with the black then take an eyeliner brush and pack the glitter onto your liner. You could also put the black on your whole lid then use a shadow brush to pack on the glitter onto your lids. This would be a much more dramatic look. There was a bit of fallout when putting the glitter on the eyeliner. I got some in my eyes so you have to be careful. I found that the glitter did crease at one point but after I put on my Fix + setting spray, it didn't crease any longer. One thing that I should note, I had to re-do the glitter after using my eyelash curler because it took some of the glitter off. The glitter lasted all day which impressed me. I would not wear this all the time but it was nice to try something that I normally wouldn't pick out myself.

Mistura Beauty Mistura Retractable Brush $18.82
I wasn't really excited to see this brush in my box. The reason for this is because I just got a whole brush set from my husband for Valentine's Day. The brush itself is nice and soft and will be great for travel. I would use this to apply a setting powder or mineral veil. It isn't stiff enough to use with my powder foundation. I need something more heavy duty like a kabuki brush or a buffer brush.

Sorme Treat & Tint Light Honey Sample
I don't have much to say about this. I haven't used it but it is a BB cream. I'm not excited to try it as I don't use BB creams. I may save this sample and give it to a friend who is interested in trying one.

Overall, I didn't LOVE all the items that I got but I was pleasantly surprised with a couple. For $36.00, I got about $80.00 worth of products. That was cool. I would probably purchase the Wantable makeup box a few times a year just to try out new products and brands. Ipsy is more in my budget range for a monthly subscription service.  I would definitely recommend this box to anyone that is unhappy with their Ipsy subscription, is looking for a more high end box, or is interested in trying a makeup box but doesn't want to be forced to do it monthly. Its awesome that you aren't required to purchase these boxes monthly. Also, as I mentioned above, if you aren't happy with the box, you can return the whole thing and get your money back (there are some exceptions relating to this that are listed on their website). I am very interested in Wantable's Accessories Box and Intimates Box and may try those out in a few months.
