Review: Wet N Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Collection in Petal Pusher

Hi Ladies!
Today I am going to review the Wet N Wild Petal Pusher palette. I got this at Market Basket for $3.79. My initial thoughts on this palette were great. I loved the colors in the pan and when I swatched them they looked beautiful. After using it, I am less than impressed and rather bummed. Because I had so much luck with the Comfort Zone palette, I was thinking I would have the same with this one. That was not the case.

The colors on the left side were not as pigmented on my lids as I hoped. Also, the colors applied really patchy. My MAC Paint Pot is almost gone and this is what I have been using as a base. This could be the cause of the shadows applying patchy but I am not 100% if that is the case. The right colors I figured would be better because they have more shimmer in them. I still had the same patchy issue with the Crease color (3rd down on right) but another issue I had was the last two colors were SO DARK. Whether it be because I am not good at working with dark colors or that the quality just wasn't that good...this side just didn't work for me. It looked horribly dark and patchy. I also didn't like the choice of brow color for this side. It came out very pink and shimmery. I would use this more as a highlight on my inner corner or on my lid. The second color was very pretty I must admit. I was so unhappy with how my eyes were coming out, that I came in with the Pro Palette and completely went over the colors.

Here are swatches of the eyeshadows:

Here is a look that I created using the left side of the palette and following the instructions on the eyeshadows.

I am going to give this palette one more try with a different eyeshadow primer. If the results are still the same, I am either moving this to the back of my drawer or giving it away. I personally would not recommend this palette but for $3.79, I am not too upset that it didn't work out for me. If you really love the swatches above or think that my issue could be my old shadow base, then by all means, give it a try. I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

***UPDATE*** I tired these shadows with UD Primer Potion and had much better luck with it. Though I still don't LOVE this palette, I don't think I'll be passing it off anytime soon.

Do you have this palette? What are your thoughts on this? Am I the only one that has had these results with this palette? Post your comments below!

-Tanya xoxo
