Hey Guys,
Today I am going to share my thoughts on the OG Tartelette Palette. I received this from Tarte before the holidays and while this is not brand new, I still wanted to share my thoughts on it. I already owned the Tartelette in Bloom and I just got the Tartelette Toasted for Christmas. I am excited to own the whole collection and think that they each have their own qualities that set them apart from one another. Do you NEED to own all 3? No, especially if you are looking for specific things in a palette. But if you are a makeup lover like me, I think that owning all 3 is perfectly fine. Keep reading to hear my thoughts on this palette and to see a look that I created!

Warm & cool matte eyeshadows ranging from light to deep are arranged in rows for 3 easy looks – customize your application to switch from natural to dramatic. The superblendable Amazonian clay-infused powder formula glides on like a cream, providing longwearing, intense payoff that’s never chalky or patchy."
Includes 12 eyeshadows:

- multi-tasker (chocolate)

On to my thoughts:
Coming from someone that owns all 3 Tartelette palettes, these shadows are on par with the rest quality wise. They are very soft, pigmented, and blend beautifully. Like the others, because they are so soft, there is quite a bit of fall out. It does make the palette a bit messy. There is also a little fall out on my face. I don't mind this because unless I am filming an eye tutorial, I always do my foundation after my eye makeup. Regardless, I would prefer a better quality shadow with fallout then a not so pigmented one without fallout any day. It also has the chocolate scent like the rest of them.
This is the first ALL matte palette that I own. While I don't do all matte looks often, I think its handy and a good idea to have a basic matte eyeshadow palette in your collection. Especially if you are a makeup artist or makeup enthusiast like myself. In terms of color tones, I tent to gravitate towards warmer tones (Tartelette Toasted). This does have a mix of both warm and cool. That being said, I am liking that palette more than I thought I would. I have been reaching for this often to create a simple everyday look for work. I have been using Free Spirit on my lid, Super Mom on my brow bone and Force of Nature in my crease.
Overall, I think its a great palette. In terms of if I recommend this palette, I think it all depends on what you are looking for. I think if your not a fan of shimmers, then this palette is for you. I think it's also good for older women with mature skin. If you are new to makeup and want a natural everyday look but still want to experiment with darker colors, you may like this as well. If you prefer a mix of matte and shimmers then I would probably go with the Tartelette in Bloom or Tartelette Toasted. Keep an eye out for my review of the Tartelette Toasted Palette. I just recently purchased the Tarte Clay Play palette during the Tarte sale. Let me know below if you are interested in seeing a review for that as well!
Here is a look that I created using this palette and other Tarte products:
