Hey Guys,

Today I'm going to share my thoughts on the Jaclyn Cosmetics Bronze & Blushing Duo that I picked up when it launched at Ulta. I planned to grab two duos but the other one that I wanted sold out instantly. If you are unfamiliar with Jaclyn Cosmetics, its is a brand owned and run by beauty YouTuber Jaclyn Hill. She has had three different product launches over the past few years. The first of lipsticks was a complete disaster and she faced alot of back lash because of it. (I personally really liked her lipsticks). Her second launch was different forms of highlighters. These were well received and customers begged for her to make these limited edition products permanents. You can check out my review of the Flash Palette HERE. She recently launched a quick Valentine's Day collection and then announced these duos. Her new collection consists of 7 blush and bronzer duos. She also launched single highlighters the most popular shades in limited edition highlighter collection. Keep reading to hear more about the bronze and blushing duos and what I thought of the shade that I picked up!

Here is what is said about this palette on the Jaclyn Cosmetics site:
"Build a flawlessly blended, sunkissed bronze look. These complementary soft matte bronzer and satin blush shades deliver a soft-focus, blurred finish and brush on like second skin. Each blush and bronzer shade is hand-poured in Italy using the same proprietary filling process as Accent Light Highlighter, giving them the same silky-soft texture. With 7 different pairings to choose from, there’s a blush and bronzer palette for every skin tone and undertone. Plus, this blush and bronzer duo comes complete with a built-in mirror, perfect for touch-ups."

On to my thoughts:
At first glace I did think that the palettes were kind of expensive. On the other hand, you do get two products in one. That being said I wish that these came separately so that you could mix and match the bronzers and blushes and didn't have to commit to a specific duo. The packaging is very bulky but feels expensive. Its sleek and luxurious like her Accent Light Highlighter Palettes. The blush and bronzer do take some building up. I think this could be a positive or negative thing depending on who you ask. Some people prefer super pigmented blush and bronzer from the start but others prefer to build up the color. I did think that these shades were going to be darker than they were on me. Both the blush and bronzer are very pretty and natural looking. I just wish that they were a bit more pigmented. I do agree that both apply smoothly without any patchiness. They lasted all day without any noticeable fading. The bronzer is warm but not too orange on me. The blush is a pretty peachy pink color that I could wear everyday. The other duo that I wanted to pick up was Stay Rosy/Yummy Toffee which was meant for medium to tan skin tones. Even though I have light skin I think I would prefer that duo since its a bit deeper color wise. The only other thing that I wanted to note is that I wish there were less pinky blushes and a larger mix of shades. There are 4 pinkish shades and I feel like that is too much with only 7 duos launching. I would have liked to see some mauve or terracotta shades. I was very happy to see there were 2 brighter/darker duos for deeper skin tones.

Overall, I had a lot of mixed feelings about this duo. I do like the formulas and do not regret my purchase. I know I will use these shades often and I still plan to pick up the other duo once it comes back in stock. My one hope is that Jaclyn creates single blushes and bronzers down the road so that we don't have to commit to specific color duos. If you haven't tried the highlighters I highly suggest those as they are amazing. I am so excited about her Be Poutspoken collection launch tomorrow and will be sharing my thoughts on those in the near future!
