Hey Guys,

Today I'm going to share my thoughts on my Ipsy Glam Bag Plus for August! For those of you unfamiliar with Ipsy Glam Bag, it is a monthly beauty subscription box. You receive 5 deluxe/sample sized products each month. The subscription is $12.00 a month and usually has a theme. They also offer an upgraded box every month called Ipsy Glam Bag Plus. This box is $25.00 a month and includes 5 full sized products. You are able to choose 3 of the products in your box and Ipsy chooses 2 for you. Ipsy's picks are based of your beauty quiz/product reviews. They also offer a quarterly upgrade from your Glam Bag Plus called Glam Bag X. This box is $55.00 a quarter and includes 7-8 full sized products from higher end brands. All three subscriptions come with a themed makeup bag each month (different sizes per subscription type). For Glam Bag you are able to pick two items in your bag. With all subscriptions you also have the option to skip a month whenever you feel like it which is a huge bonus offering. I am currently subscribed to Ipsy Glam Bag Plus. The theme for this month's bag is "Wanderlust". Keep reading to see what I got in my bag this month! I will link all of the products in the description above each picture.

Doucce Cosmetics Posh Powder Palette $55.00

Review: Ipsy Glam Bag Plus August 2021
This was the first item that Ipsy chose for me. This is a pretty palette with a mix of 3 blushes and 3 highlighters. I don't see it on their website so it may have been created exclusively for Ipsy. All of the shades are pretty and colors that I would wear. I just wish that they were a softer formula and a bit more pigmented. Overall, not a bad palette and good for travel. I also received this in my Ipsy Creator bag so I will be saving this to gift to someone or for a giveaway.

Here are swatches of the palette:

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4 in 1 Mascara $23.00

This was the second item Ipsy chose for me. I also got this mascara in my Creator bag as well so I will be saving this for a giveaway too. This is definitely an older Tarte mascara but is pretty popular. I never really loved it as it didn't seem to do much to my lashes. Since I now have two of these maybe I will give it another try.

Thrive Causemetics Glossy Lip Hydrating Serum in Ruth $26.00

Review: Ipsy Glam Bag Plus August 2021
This was the first item that I chose for my bag. I haven't tried too much from the brand Thrive Causemetics but the stuff that I have tried was nice. This glossy serum in Ruth is described as a taupe shimmer. It has a nice neutral wash of color and feels great on the lips. Overall, a nice lip gloss.

Florence By Mills Tint N Tame Brow Gel in Clear $14.00

Review: Ipsy Glam Bag Plus August 2021
This is the second item that I chose for my bag. It's a clear brow gel. Pretty basic but always needed for people like myself that have long brow hairs. I like that this brush is super tiny to make brushing in place super easy. The tiny brush is also great for people that have thinner brows.

This was the last item that I chose for my bag. I was actually missing from my bag when I first got it. I reached out and they sent out a new one but I was really confused when I got it. Ipsy Glam Bag Plus is supposed to be all full sized products. This product is smaller than my pinky and seems to be the "mini size" on Sephora's website. That bummed me out since Ipsy states that all products are full size in this bag. They are also increasing their subscription price to $28/a month. Either way, I chose this because I thought it was an interesting product that I don't own. I haven't tried it yet but I will share some pics on Instagram when I do.

This was the themed bag for the month. Its a croc skin pattern and fun for transitioning into the fall. I am actually looking forward to the fall season and thing this is a cute bag to throw in your purse. I currently throw all my lip products in these bags that come in this subscription.

TOTAL VALUE: $140.00

IPSY PROMOTIONS
Ipsy offers discounts and cash back on brands/products featured in each month's glam bag. You are able to purchase full sized products that are sampled/or featured in the Glam Bag that month. The products are discounted from normal price and you can get cash bag on the purchase. They also offer "Ipsy Offers" that are discounted beauty bundles from different brands. You are also allowed to add "Add Ons" to your Glam Bag Plus which are other items featured that month that are not part of your personal box. These items are heavily discounted. Lastly, they offer "Mystery Bags" which again are bags of heavily discounted products.

Overall, this was an okay bag. There were some items I was happy to recieve and others that weren't too exciting. The items I am most excited about are the Thrive Causemetics Glossy Lip and the Florence By Mills Tint N Tame Brow Gel. I am kind of disappointed hearing about the price increase (Oct. 1st) since I haven't seen many high end brands featured lately. Also, because I got a deluxe mini in this bag. A $3.00 increase isn't a huge deal but hopefully they will feature more high end brands going forward. Either way it is still a great deal and awesome way to try new products/brands. I am excited to see what products will be featured next month.
