I've been pretty busy lately and just couldn't find the time to sit down and film a May Favorites and Flops video. I still wanted to share some of the products that I've been really enjoying lately so I decided to do an old fashioned favorites post. A lot of these products are ones that I have been using since April and early May. Keep reading to hear what I was loving last month!
May Favorites:
Morphe 24G Grand Glam Palette Review HERE
This palette is just so beautiful. I really love bronze and rose gold shadows and that is pretty much the theme of this palette. The colors are soft and beautiful and extremely pigmented. I reached for this so much when deciding which palette to use when going out for the night.
Pixi Beauty Lash Lacquer Lash Primer Review for all Pixi products discussed HERE
This lash primer paired the the Pixi Beauty Large Lash Mascara is literally the perfect lash combo! They make your lashes look so thick, full, and dramatic without having to use false lashes. Anyone that knows me knows I can't deal with those. I have been using these two products together non stop!
Pixi Beauty Eye Bright Liner in Nude
This has been my go to nude eyeliner to wear on a daily basis. Its really creamy and lasts all day. I will defiintely be repurchasing once I run out!
Pixi Beauty Endless Silky Eye Pen in Rose Gold
I have been loving wearing this eyeliner on my waterline when I want a more dramatic look. It gives a bit more oomph and the color is just beautiful!
Sephora Collection Lipstories Lipstick in Brunch Date
My friend Lisa from Lisa a La Mode is a fellow beauty and fashion blogger . She gave me this lipstick and a bunch of other PR products that didn't work for her skin tone. This is such a beautiful everyday lip color and I love that its matte. I have been pairing it with the Pop Beauty Pout On Point Lip Liner in Tawny Tease and love the combo!
Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Full Coverage Conceal & Contour
I picked up this concealer since so many people raved about it. It really is a great concealer at an amazing price! Shape Tape is still #1 for me but this is ALMOST tied for #2 with ColourPop's No Filter Concealer. This has more of a satin finish (in my opinion) when comparing it to the ColourPop and Tarte concealer finishes. Overall, its a really good concealer!
Michael Kors Large Dome Crossbody
I picked this up at TJ Maxx a couple weeks ago and have been using it every single weekend. I actually wish I had it in a brown logo pattern too. Its the perfect size for going out. You can literally fit everything plus some inside including your phone, makeup, keys, credit cards, AND sunglasses case. It doesn't feel overly bulky when wearing it out to a bar or club. This is my favorite going out bag right now.
May Flops:
Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara
I really wanted to like this mascara since everyone seems to love it. It just didn't work for me. It didn't really give me much drama or curl and my lashes just looked meh. I tried it several times and my opinion didn't change.
Fashion Nova Lost In The Lace Top
This top looks so cute on the model which is why I purchased it. Once I tried it on, I quickly realized that its only good for taking photos apparently. The second you move your shoulders the shirt pops off your shoulders and its just so annoying to wear. Luckily, I was able to sell it on Poshmark and get some of my money back.
