J. Cat Beauty Wonder Lip Paint*

Hi Ladies,
Today I am going to review a product from J. Cat Beauty. I first learned about J. Cat through Ipsy. They are known for their super affordable yet trendy products. The are also known for their superb pigmentation. The product that I will be reviewing is their Wonder Lip Paints.
Wonder Lip Paint $4.99
Here is what is said about the Wonder Lip Paint on J. Cat Beauty's website:
"For invincible color and impeccable wear, the Wonder Lip Paint serves justice! With the twofold blend of endurance and delivery of intense pigmentation, this will become your heroin of lip colors. Select from numerous colors to paint your lips for your day and nighttime adventures."

These lip paints come is 18 different colors ranging from nudes and pinks to dark purple and green.

Here is a chart of the colors taken from their website:

Onto my thoughts on this product. This product is a bit on the liquid side. Its thick but liquidy at the same time. If that makes any sense? It is SUPER pigmented and has a minty smell to it. I would suggest applying this product with a lip brush. This will give you the best detail and even application. I didn't find it to be sticky at all. You may want to use a clear lip liner before apply this product to help with bleeding. The wear time on this product is awesome. I put it on around 5:30 pm and then went to dinner. I ate and drank and it stayed on pretty well. After eating, it did bleed a little but I did not wear it with a clear lip liner. By 10:30, the color was still visible. A nice tint is left behind once the color fades.  One thing I must note; If you are going to throw these in your purse, I suggest that you put it in a zip lock bag.  One of the lip paints leaked during shipping to me. Luckily it was in a plastic bag.

Here are the colors that I have:

Caterpillar Smoke- This is a hot pink/fuschia color. It has a cool/blue undertone to it. I really love this color. It looks great on and is something I would use often.

Wonderland- I was a little scared when I saw this color. It is a smurf blue. Some people may be into wearing this on their lips however it is way too out there for me. What I did realize is that I could use this color along with Caterpillar Smoke and make my own custom purple shade. I think that is pretty cool.

So sorry for this terrible up close picture! As you can tell, I didn't line my lips very carefully.

Here are swatches of each:

Here are two colors that I created by mixing the colors together:
To create this color I used 1 drop of Caterpillar Smoke and 1 drop of Wonderland. It is more of a dark lilac/purple
To create this color I used a little bit more of the Caterpillar Smoke than the Wonderland. This is a violet/pink-toned purple.

I have read that these lip paints are comparable to the OCC Lip Tars however, I can not give my opinion on this since I don't own any and have never tried them. The price of the Lip Tars is what has held me back from purchasing them thus far.

Here are pictures of me wearing Caterpillar Smoke:

Overall, I really like this product. I think the pigmentation is great and the wear time is awesome. They have a TON of different shades and I love that you can mix them to make your own custom colors. For $4.99, I will definitely be purchasing some of these in the near future.

* I was sent these  products for review purposes. However, the thoughts and opinions in this post are my own. I am always 100% honest in my reviews for all products discussed on my blog.

Have you tried J. Cap Beauty Wonder Lip Paints? What are your thoughts? Are they comparable to OCC Lip Tars? Post your comments below!
