Review: SmartFX SmartBrow Eyebrow Filler*

For those of you that read my blog often or know me personally, you know that have a brow obsession. I am always looking to try out new products to perfect my brows. Today I am going to share with you a unique 2 in 1 brow product called SmartBrow. Smart Brow is a tinted brow gel that has hair like fibers. It is claimed to last all day even after swimming or showering. It is also said to be transfer proof.

Here is what is said about the product on the Dermstore site:

SmartBrow comes in three colors; Blonde, Brunette, and Black-Brown. 

The product has a dual ended side with a wand on one end and a small brush tip for detailed application on the other. It also comes with a special cleanser to remove the product from your brows.

Here are the directions also taken from the Dermstore site:
"Step 1: To achieve optimal results, you'll want to apply SmartBrow on clean, dry brows--if possible, use an oil-free product to cleanse, and keep your brow area free of any serums, creams and moisturizers.

Step 2: Apply SmartBrow with the defining liner using short, light strokes, and start small: you may find it’s easiest to address your problem areas first, adding SmartBrow according to the kind of brow/shade you're looking to achieve. Always apply SmartBrow in the direction of hair growth.

Step 3: While the product is still wet, distribute the color by making upward, outward strokes with finishing brow brush. If you need to add more product, now is the time: simply reapply where needed and repeat this step.

Removal: Apply the SmartBrow Cleanser directly onto brows and rub off with a damp cotton pad or swab. Next, rinse area off with warm water to remove any traces of color or cleanser."

Onto my thoughts on this product:
This product is super easy to use and it definitely lives up to its claims! I tried the product out the other night right before I went into the shower. I first use the thin tip to shape out my brows and fill them in. I had no issues using it. The only thing I need a bit of practice on is boxing off the beginning of my brows. Because the detailer brush is a little bit flimsy, I couldn't get a straight line on the first try. This is because I am used to a thicker angled brush. After filling and getting a shape I was happy with, I used the brush end to brush the brows into place. You can definitely see that the product creates hair like fibers when apply to your brows. A couple times I applied a little to high up and the fibers stuck to my skin. They came off easily when I wiped them off.

I was pretty happy with the outcome.  Here are some pictures. My eyebrow on the left is my natural and my brow on the right is filled in with SmartBrow.

As you can see, the look is pretty natural. My shape is pretty much the same but my right brow just looks more fuller and cleaned up.

Next is the cool part...

I decided to test out the "waterproof" claims. I showered like normal and even exfoliated and washed my face, putting my whole face directly in the water.

Here are the results:

 

As you can see, my brow looks almost exactly the same as before I showered.  This was very impressive! 

 I used the SmartBrow cleanser which remove the product and it came off pretty easily.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this product. If you are looking for a more natural brow then this is the product for you. It is super easy to use and would be great for beginners. The product stays put all day long without any fading or wiping off.
