Review: Philosophy Take A Deep Breath Oil Free Energizing Oxygen Gel Cream Moisturizer

Hi Ladies!
Today I am going to review Philosophy's Take a Deep Breath Oil Free Energizing Oxygen Gel Cream Moisturizer. Boy was that a mouth full! After trying out Kate Somerville's Oil Free Moisturizer (you can read my review HERE) I decided not to repurchase because it was pretty expensive. I was browsing around Ulta checking out their offerings when I came across this moisturizer. At first, I only grabbed it because of the price and because it was oil free. Boy was I in for a pleasant surprise.

Here is info off of Philosophy's site about this moisturizer:

As you can see from the picture, this moisturizer has a light teal tint to it. It is definitely a hybrid between a cream and a gel. It is very light but not to the point where it soaks up into your skin too fast. It has a very subtle clean scent. I only need very little product for my whole face. It soaks in nice and smoothly but doesn't dry too quickly. I have been using this since the beginning of May and absolutely love it. I even feel confident saying that this is the best moisturizer that I have ever used. It isn't greasy and doesn't make my face feel oily. I actually feel that I have been less oily since using this product. I don't know if that is a coincidence or not. I don't have any huge skin concerns besides oil so I can't really say much about that. I do like the fact that it protects your skin against the environment and is packed with antioxidants. I don't know if my skin looks "glowing" but I am happy with how it looks overall. Lastly, the price is excellent in my opinion. I am used to spending $50 plus on a moisturizer so this was a bargain to me.

I would definitely recommend this moisturizer to anyone looking to try out a new moisturizer. It would probably be OK for people with dry skin as long as they use it in the summer. It might not be thick enough for them in the winter. I will most definitely be repurchasing this moisturizer and may even look into some of their other products.

Have you tried this moisturizer or any other Philosophy products? What are your thoughts on them? Post your comments below!
