Hey Guys,
This look was supposed to be featured in a Fall look book with some other bloggers but the plans fell through. I would normally do a makeup tutorial video but since I already created this look, took pics, and wrote out a tutorial, you are going to get an old fashioned step by step tutorial this time around!
I wanted to create a look that screams fall. I love warm tones and orange/reds remind me of the leaves changing color in the fall. I decided to use the MorphexJaclyn Hill Palette because there are tons of colors in this palette that give me inspiration for this look. Another great palette that you could to create a similar look is the Morphe 35O Nature Glow Palette.
Step 1: Apply a shadow primer or base for a even and blank canvas. I used MAC's Paint Pot in Painterly.
Step 2: Apply Nyx Nude Matte Eyeshadow in I Have a Headache to right below your brows to highlight your brow bone. Any matte cream or bone shade would work.
Step 3: Apply M.F.E.O. as a transition shade. You want to apply this with a big fluffy blending brush. Any matte light brown shade will work.
Step 4: Apply Butter to your crease with a smaller blending/crease brush. This is a little bit darker and more warm/orange toned than M.F.E.O.
Step 5: Apply Firework to the lid with your finger. You can use a brush if you would like, but I get the most pigmented application with my finger. This is a shimmery coppery red.
Step 6: Apply Roxanne to your crease with a crease brush. Make sure to blend and buff the color in so there are no harsh lines. Roxanne is a matte burnt red/orange shade.
Step 7: Apply Chip to the outer corners/outer v of your eyes. Chip is a matte dark chocolate brown.
Step 8: Using a pencil brush, apply Butter and Roxanne to your lower lashes. Its ok if it looks messy because your are going to go back and clean it up after.
Step 9: Using a more precise liner or flat brush, apply Firework on top of Butter and Roxanne. Make sure to go back and blend the colors with a pencil brush.
Step 10: Apply Chip to the outer 1/4 of your lower lash line. You just want to add some darkness to the outer edge to have it blend with the darkness that is on your outer corner of your lid. Once again make sure to go back and blend it a little.
Step 11: Lightly go back over your transitions with either M.F.E.O. or Butter to get rid of any harsh lines. A fluffy crease brush is teh best for this. After blending, blend some more with clean blending brush that has no product on it.
Step 12: Apply the ColourPop Creme Gel Liner in Overboard to your tightline and waterline. This is a bronzey color. Any bronze liner will work.
Step 13: Highlight the inner corner of the eyes with Beam then go over it with Queen. This creates a custom color that is a shimmery light golden shade.
Step 14: Finish off with some mascara. I used L'Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara and Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lash Mascara
The key to any makeup look is blending and layering.
